Greetings,

I'm fairly new to the whole multi-boxing scene, and the only problem I seem to have with it is the quest turn-in. How do you all go about turning in quests?

As a 3 boxer I turn in fully on main alt if applicable, then alt+tab, then alt+tab twice so that the alts are switching when I alt+tab; I hit npc, alt+tab, hit npc on 2nd, continue, alt+tab, continue, accept/complete quest, alt+tab, accept/complete quest. Yeah it's a pain in the ass but it's the only way to do it when turning in quests; you CAN take the quest on one Character if it's shareable and then share it and use a macro to accept on all alts at once, but I feel more comfortable tabbing personally and knowing all the chars got it lol

Yeah, I have no issues getting the quests (...that are shareable.) It's just turning them in that appears to be the biggest hindrance in regards to quest leveling.

I guess I could set up maximizer and just turn them in that way, but I don't really like the maximizer style... maybe it'll just take some getting used to.

I can't stand how small my screens are when "maximized" so I run all 3 at the same res(windowed, Windows-maximized @ 1280x1024 res, same graphics settings) and just alt-tab around as needed lol, pretty much no other way besides alt-tabbing or maximizing to turn in sadly =\

The only thing I could think of in regards to handing in quests without the hassle of tabbing/maximizing would be to have your windows stacked on top of each other. (Same res/etc) Then find another piece of software that would move your mouse in each window. It would take some messing around to get it right, but it could work that way. I'm just not sure if there is a piece of software to do that. =\

Edit:

It is possible to use a broadcasted mouse to do this as well on all the alt machines.Aye, I'm sure there are ways around this particular issue if you're running multiple machines. However, I'm only running one machine with four clients open. =(

4 wireless mice = one-click turnins for all 4 alts :)

Just found this macro on wowwiki.

/script SelectGossipAvailableQuest(1)
/script CompleteQuest()
/script GetQuestReward()

It saves you the 'click continue' and 'click complete' steps but you still have to right-click on the NPC to bring up the window. This macro will select the first quest you are on and attempt to complete it. I haven't tried it myself and dont know how the last line will work if there are multiple loot options. Don't blame me if you end up with the wrong item :-D.

When im a litte less drowsy I will put together a more robust macro.
