Farming 5 Man Mount Bosses / L2PvE

Today is start of week 3 that my full 4DK/Paladin team have been at 85. One of the DKs and the Pally I have played a decent bit solo. I realize in the back of my mind that Cata Heroics are going to be really difficult and not the cakewalk BC and Wrath heroics were in comparison. So to that end I've started throwing myself into crazy easy PvE situations to learn the basics and recover the old coordination I had with my caster team.

I've started farming 5 man mount bosses. Mainly because I'm not ready to try TK, but I think I'm closely getting there. I also farm AQ for as much as I can. I can clear the 10 ( think it's 10 man now, used to be AQ20) man version with no problem. AQ40 I can clear up to twin emps while skipping the the trio bosses that you can kill in varying order.

The 5 man bosses I go after are:
32768 - Raven Lord Anzu (Heroic Sethekk Halls)
35513 - Kael'Thas (Heroic Magister's Terrace)
44151 - Skadi The Rutheless (Heroic Utgarde Pinnacle)

Are there any 5 man dungeons that I'm forgetting about? I'm considering going after Malygos as well. I may need some more PvE gear before I venture that far. I'm still half Vicious and Half Blue PvP gear.

It seems like they've nerfed the drop rates considerably. Granted out of all the Anzu farming I've done, I've only ever seen it drop TWICE. I realize random loot is random. Back in Wrath I farmed up 7 White Hawkstriders in less than 3 weeks. The only mount I've seen in the past 2 weeks is The Blue Protodrake from Skadi. Going to be a hella long grind to farm up any of these x5.

Not 5 man either but doesn't the first boss in Kara drop a mount.

They did, the boss is just there in the room now. And you also no longer need honored rep to get into BC heroics.

LOL good. I was going to kick myself if I missed it by not clicking the orb in the middle of the room. Remember how you had to use a trinket in your inventory to summon him? And I recall something about clicking the orb. If I missed out on a mount... oh boy.

Brewfest is starting this week if i remember correctly. That will be another set of runs you can add for a limited time.

Last year i got like 5 Kodos and rams on 2 toons and nothing on the rest... about my luck.

Has anyone done os+3 25 man with 5 toons yet, be nice to try get the 25 man version mount.
Awhile ago me and ebs got him down to 3 mil before we wiped. All frost and blew everything. Wasnt fully geared then.

Beeq took 10 mages and killed 25, but that is some serious DPS. I'm not sure a boxer can do it, but I might try it for a challenge.

Me and Merc are able to 15 man the 15m OSD 3 drake for the Twilight drake. Don't even bother with the 10 man one, it looks like trash.

To add stuff to your list you should do Onyxia every week. She's a cake walk.

With DKs, Kael is a piece of cake. Of course, you can't pick up and use the staff for CC immunity, so that will make it more interesting. But popping your armies right before Kael comes out in phase four should make the toughest part of the fight (mind control) a non-issue.

You should try Malagos as well. I do it four times a week with teams of ten each and he's at 0 hit points by the end of phase 1. You won't be able to do that with only 5 guys, but should be able to get rid of most of his hit points. Phase 2 is a joke, and if you spread your mounts out, target Malygos with all yours toons, then hit 1,1,2,1,1,2,1,1,2 with everyone in phase 3, he should be down before you are.
