I recently started a 4xShaman team. I got them to level 29 and ran a few warsong gultches for some practice with character management in a high pressure situation. I noticed I had a few logistic problems with totem management. For instance, I was trying to figure out the best way to use tremor totems.

If I drop them all at the same time, wouldn't they be on the same pulse timer and be less effective, but is it practicle to set it up on a round robin w/ keyclone to allow me to stagger them for a better chance at catching a pulse when im feared?

Current I have each set of totems on a different key. For instance, if i hit "h" it will drop 3 healing totems and one mana totem. Or I hit "f" and it drops a fire totem, or shift F for Nova totem...etc. How do the rest of you manage your totems? Do you use cast sequences or keep them individually bound? When on the run i would probably only be interested in dropping tremor and grounding totems.

Any other advice you got for this would be awsome =)

Edit: I did some searches on totems in general, but still curious mostly about the tremor totems.

Here's what I do with no macros whatsoever (helps for multiple reasons). I really really like it. What I trade in flexibility I get back in dependability and not having to think about it. I have tweaked both of my sets over time and have other buttons for special situations (4xFire Nova key, for example). This is an older set, but I think you get the idea...

PvP
Button U: 1-Tremor, 2-Grounding, 3-Earthbind, 4-Searing
Button I: 1-Grounding, 2-Tremor, 3-Grounding, 4-Poison
Button O: 1-Poison, 2-Searing, 3-Healing, 4-Tremor
Button P: 1-Searing, 2-Healing, 3-Healing, 4-Grounding

PvE
Button J: 1-Mana Stream, 2-Healing, 3-Healing, 4-Healing
Button K: 1-Wrath of Air, 2-Totem of Wrath, 3-Totem of Wrath, 4-Totem of Wrath
Button L: 1-Totem of Wrath, 2-Grounding, 3-Grounding, 4-Grounding
Button ;: 1-Tremor, 2-Stoneclaw, 3-Earthbind, 4-Stoneclaw

Here's my current totem strategy. Not much thought into it for now. 4 Shaman at 24 being run through SM with my 62 Paladin.

Button 4:
Shaman 1-4 = /castsequence reset=15 Fire Nova Totem, Searing Totem

Button 5:
Shaman 1 = /castsequence Stoneskin Totem, Healing Stream Totem
Shaman 2 = /castsequence Earthbind Totem, Healing Stream Totem
Shaman 3 = /castsequence Stoneclaw Totem, Healing Stream Totem
Shaman 4 = /castsequence Tremor Totem, Healing Stream Totem

Button 5 will be my default totem grouping. I'll add and adjust as new totems become available. I have to wait on GCD anyhow, so I prefer to keep it all to one button, leaving other buttons for situational totems.
