Just read this article over @ HardOcp.com http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTQ3MiwxLCxoZW50aHVzaWFzdA==

So now we are able to have a viable SLI solution for under $300 that is quite powerful.

My question is, does WOW still not take advantage of SLI configurations in game? I remember several write ups on Hardocp and Anandtech stating that WOW does not show ANY improvements while using SLI. If not, could we somehow run wow clients on a specific or dedicated GPU like some of us do with CPU affinity? This way the cards are not running in SLI, they will be running independent of each other for 2 to 3 WOW clients.

The last time I tried SLI does work in WoW but not very well. The biggest problem for me with 2x8800GTX was that every time I alt-tabbed it would drop the FPS a few. After 4-5 tabs it would drop down to unplayable level. The only fix was to kill the client and restart. It is much better to get yourself an 8800GT (512MB) they run around $250.
