Melee strategies

Hey

I have a melee team and whant to clear heroics. I tried Halls of originations with a tank friend and failed misserably. I wouldnt say i suck at boxing (i think) ... been doing it since 2009 but only as ranged. Whanted some challange and roled a melee team. Does any1 have strategies on melee multibox heroics?

I have cleared all instanses on normal but hearoic seems a bit harder ;)

Well seeing the issue is easy fixing it is likely a lot hearder, you've played the game, where does your group suck? Are they idle (slow to engage, slow to target transition), just horrible dps (bad spell sequencing, ignoring procs, etc)?


I would grab the world of logs client and see what your guys are doing if you are not aware. My guess is % attendance is slow (idle issues, they are fractionally afk all the time).

I don't know your comp, but for me +hit was a big deal, as spells didn't work out well if I had goofed a spell. I also had to reset sequences when I was on a new target.

I also spent way too much time trying to finish mobs off with finishing burst kill blows, it was a waste and leaving mobs in the sub execution range to die from splash damage a few seconds later was fine and ended fights much faster.

My group suck where my healer comes in to the picture. I Play Prot warrior, arms Warrior, Frost DK, Enhancement shaman, and resto shaman. The dps is ok.. arund 10-8k but my heals are way to small. Dont know if its me sucking at healing with a shaman but maybe gearing the healer up solo might make the group suck less.

Guess i was just frustrating of wipeing on the first boss i try on hc when i cleared all on normal with no problems :)

I can tell you straight up that your dps is low, and gear upgrading will be a huge boost for you. Im saying this cus of your dps, in full PvP gear you should be doing around 12-18 k dps on targets. Gear the whole group in PvP gear, and buy Core of Ripeness for JP for your healer :) after that, getting PvE gear shouldnt be a problem since heroics will be ez mode.

But do you guys think every boss on heroic is doable with a melee team?

I believe so, since your team can do ranged attacks aswell. Fulm PvP gear, then reforge so each toon is hit capped :)
