Ok the situation is as following, i own 5 copies of WoW and TBC, i got keyclone, and all is setup and run.

However i am wondering a bit about my approach to levelling. At this point i have the situation like this

Acc 1: Warrior 70 / Priest 70 / Paladin 6 (the paladin is one of my group of 4 new chars)
Acc 2: Mage 70
Acc 3: Warlock 6
Acc 4: Warlock 6
Acc 5 :Mage 6

My final aim is to have the setup Pala / priest / mage / lock / lock (the 70 mage is one i share to is not the final one), the priest will be used in the party of 5. The paladin while being levelled will stay on the same acc as the priest, but later be moved to another account.

i got 2 options in levelling as it seems to me :

1) Level 4 chars by boosting them with the mage, and at around 60 switch to running instances
2) Level 4 chars by conventional levelling <-- this could be better in the learning curve part of doing instances...

So my question is, which would u pick and for what reason.

I'd suggest boosting them to the mid 20's to start. That doesn't take long and at that point they will have access to their main spells. At that point you can get a real feel for how your team will perform. It's hard to evaluate them when they are below 15 and have a pretty empty spell book. Take the team to an instance after you've boosted them to the mid 20's and see how you do. This will help you evaluate your team make up and if the playstyle fits what you want to accomplish.

If you like your team then you can decide if you'd like to boost them some more or level them together.

This is pretty much what I did and I'm glad I did it that way. I was able to figure out I wanted to drop one class for another before my team hit 30. I'm glad I figured it out then and not when they were all 60.

Skuggoman has written a guide/progress report On his experiences with mage powerleveling.

Mage boostign madness. (lvl: 70) ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&postID=25334#post25334')

I'd suggest reading/translating it in detail, it contains nearly all the info.

Good luck ;)

If you have a 70 Mage I wouldn't think about doing quests until after 40.

I have boosted other chars with my 70 mage and instance grinding to 40 is soooo much faster.

I only run horde so the short version is

RFC 12->18

SFK 18->22

RFK 23->29

SM 30->40

For RFC, SFK, and RFK you should hot key your level 1 AE, to aggro everything when you are running by. Hit your big AE to kill them when you have enough gathered up, just have your alts are on auto follow while doing this. This way you never run out of mana and you can literally run through the instance. Also I don't loot until SM, it just wastes too much time.

Level individually to 10, then use the 70 mage to boost to however high you can before the mage can't handle instance pulls (40 in SM, probably, depending on gear & skill), then use the 70 warrior to boost to 50+ then go quest in the old world to 58 and then go to Outlands.

Although I am concerned about :
"the 70 mage is one i share to is not the final one"

Sharing as in... letting someone else use your account or using someone else's account? 1st thing before you even start, all accounts you are multiboxing you need to be the original owner on or it will be a very sad story later on.

just use 4 alts instead of just 1....I used the above strat with the zones and it worked nicely, but I like doing some of the quests for the insane RaF experience, so I made a write-up on WoWhead for what quests to pick up and when. If you see something I need to change or anything of the sort, let me know:
