Hello community. i started Quadboxing about week ago and today i tried pvp i sucked totally with my 28 shamans i managed to nuke down some ppl nicely, but first problem was when i died my slaves were doomed also..... :( What kind of tricks do i need to manage when master goes down and i never really get the idea of ISBOXER though i read the guides, but i must be totally stupid :D its all just so confusing. i use keyclone mostly nothing else.. yea nothing else i know something is wrong. So i ask you ''Pros'' and everyone who has done this a while what should i do? i got macros set up, But the problem is also the facing of my slaves when i die i cant really control them. What binds do you guys use for movement and ''Do not pass keys''.

What kind of system are you using? FTL? If so a simple swap to change master should sort out however I do remember the screen swaps not being instant on keyclone whereas they are on ISBoxer.

If you're not using a FTL setup I recommend you switch to one.

I still use a focus based system. It works.

if you use a focus based system, you can bind a macro that set the focus to a different toon on the same key as your PiP toggle key.
Like that, when you main dies, you press the key to pip to whatever other toon you want and automatically all other toons set focus to that one. and that becomes your new main.

Multiboxing is like everything else in the world, don't expect to be good at it when you just started. Besides that lowlvl pvp sucks for multiboxers. Since your toons are VERY squishy, they die easily, which is annoying to say atleast.

Just keep going, practice. Listen to what the guys above me set and sort your setup. Not much more to do besides that to begin with.

Not always true ... from a philosophical point of view ... one can be good from the start in being bad at something new.

Im not using KC but I must agree with LBurst... It took me a good 6-8 months of practice, learning, configuring, practice, and more practice, till I got a method that works for ME! and thats really the "magic" about it. Find what works for you.

I use ISBoxer. ( I do not get paid to use it, or am I affiliated with it<--legal disclaimer) However if you havent tried it, I encourage you to dl the free 7 day trial and give it a whirl with just using 5 accounts or something small. Get a grip on how to use any software you choose, and then open it up to more accounts. going at 28 accounts from the opening gate, (to me) seems like a recipe for doom and failure.

Get the hang of two accounts, then go for 5, then 10, then 15, or the full amt. Once you have things under control, experiment with other addons that can assist you...

Example: ask yourself a question, and answer it... "How can I heal one guy, or select just one guy from my master window, without using the healer as the main?" Answer (for me) Gridcustomlayout, and a repeater region, plus mouseover macros.

^There are other methods too... but this one I like, and works well for me.

Yeah i now purchased ISboxer and learned to use it very handy :)
But now im kinda disapointed at my setup 4 shamans at lvl 42 cant really solo instances or anything so any good setups like 4 warlocks or druids?

I did 4 paladins 1 to 60 and found great success with them as they are [tank/heal/dps] hybrids.

i solod all instances up to Slave pens on my 4 shaman. couple bosses harder than others but very doable. just takes a little time and effort to setup your spells/healing movement.

I first made 3 trial mages.

Then messed about with 4 trial shamans.

Then about a month after I attempted to box my first characters, I felt I read enough to try it with real accounts. It's as simple as that really. read, read, learn and test. ISboxer helped(+Isboxer chat for your /bonk questions).

nederwiet ain't the same what i used to be ...

It's only getting stronger?

Besides, I'd say go bake a spacecake with some decent hasj in it. I had the shittiest morning in my life last monday after eating one sunday evening >.>. It fucked up 8 people, which was hilarious though.

Oh and on topic:

Don't smoke & play! :D
