Wrath likely to go on sale any time soon?

I had a WoW product key hanging around from one of those $5 for vanilla sales in the digital store, so I decided to take a break from my 5-boxing team and use the new RAF-to-80 to level some alts. 2 days /played later, my new pair are close to 70. But I don't really want to spend $40 on wrath for an account I'm planning to transfer the alts off of and cancel. I've seen it go down to $19.99 on sale before, does anyone know about how frequently that happens?

Also, has anyone leveled through Wrath with RAF? How long does it usually take? I'll probably just leave these alts at 70 for a while and level up another pair or two while I wait for Wrath to go on sale, but I want to make sure that I leave enough time to level everyone through Wrath before RAF runs out.

If you just want to get your chars to 80 then why not take Blizzard up on the option of a 10-day trial of Lich King?

On my 'vanilla+BC' accounts, in battle.net, I have an Upgrade option of "Free 10 Days Trial" of LK...

If you're only going to level them to 80 and then transfer, 10 days should give you enough time to rip through LK :)

I'd forgotten about the free trial, that makes much more sense. Thanks for the suggestion. How many teams do you think I could get through Wrath in ten days, assuming I spend those ten days playing way too much WoW?

You cant level past 70 with trial afaik. Didnt work for my friend when he did the Cata trail on his wotlk accs one week ago.

Thats right. Its not 10 days of Wrath, its 10 days of WoW.

The lower costs for upgrades generally come out near the Christmas season.

The Expansion trials will let you earn enough XP to be just short of hitting the level past your current level cap. 60.9/70.9/80.9
