Running on 2 systems here and just added second monitor.
Problem is the FPS im getting on second system is just horrendous. At the moment im getting 9fps on all slaves. 17-20 sometimes. Settings all low and now reduced to 1024x res.. Disabled all addons and the system itself is recently formated.
My current specs for the second system are:
Gigabyte G31M-ES2L
Intel dual core E6500 @2.9ghz
DDR 2 3gigs 800mhz
ATI Radeon HD 4500
The system was basically for me to learn how to build my own pc.
Im basically looking for a way to get better performance from it to run my alts and that i dont hate switching to it when my main dies.
Main dies im pretty much screwed with how i have to fight the thing just to try move my alt through a slideshow.
I was wondering if these would make a good difference to performance (FPS), again a very cheap option sadly.

get some more ram. i see you are running DDR 2 ram currently, make sure your mobo will support DDR 3, which is what you have linked there. but ya, more ram and it will run alot smoother.
Motherboard will more often effect your loading times, in my experiences. Not actual game play once it's loaded.

That's hard drive, not motherboard.
You're smoking something I thinks.

If it helps, I run 4-5 accounts all the time dual screen with an ATI 4350 card. Sure I'll get something down the road, But for what it's worth, Get the ram man. that will be the biggest performance boost for ya so far.

Well the motherboard i have in now only supports DDR 2 and a max of 4 gigs, not sure if adding 1 gig of ddr 2 is going to make much of a difference.

More RAM definitely makes a difference, but I feel with 4GB of RAM you'll still run out, which will cause your system to start using virtual memory, which is based on your hard drive, which is the slowest part of your system in the grand scheme of things.
So, long run while it would make for an improvement, you'll still run into issues.
It is also dependent on your current usage. See how much RAM you're using/and virtual memory and try to gauge how much gain you could get. (CTRL ALT DEL -> Performance manager, assuming Win7)
/snaaaaaaaaaaaap. Forgot you're running two systems. Still, see how much RAM is being used, switch up how many clients the computer is running, and other performance tweaky things. What's your main system?

Two things.
He's running a motherboard that uses DDR2, not DDR3, and the motherboard only supports 4GB.
Way to go champ!

Well ive decided to just spend abit more and upgrade the main PC to handle the 5 accounts budget £300
Main specs currently:
Intel Dual core E8400
4 gigs of kingston DDR3 1333
ATI Radean HD 4900
Gigabyte GA-P41T-D3 Motherboard
So far these seem like nice options

What OS are you using, and is it 64 bit?
CheeseCake

Its Windows 7. 64bit yes
The graphics card is more of a filler as the other components are my main focus for my budget.
Spent awhile looking at the graphics card but i just gave up, giving me a headache with just how many there are and most specs on some just look the same.
My last 2 graphics cards were the 4000 series.
These seem like options so far

The motherboard: again no idea if ive picked a good one for that price range.
Think im settled on that CPU though, really nice price for 6 cores.
Ram, i picked that because ive always had corsair, apart from the kingston i have in right now.
and its a nice price.
