Dominoes, Titan Panel, etc... Settings

Ever multibox with 2 or 3 accounts, have your setup then add another couple accounts, only to find that you have to setup your layout EXACTLY THE SAME with each addon??? Well I have. Many of you may already know, but the easiest thing to do is use the /reset option for each addon you have then use the mouse repeater (if you're using ISBoxer) or similar to setup each addon the way you want it EXACTLY THE SAME across all your toons!

Sure I tried copying the WTF files from each toon's folder, reset wow, then logging into each toon, however I saw that my dominoes, titan panel, and others weren't in the right places. So when in doubt, restart.

I have had 5 accounts for almost a year now, but recently decided to put back my action bar addon, though before it was bartender, which now I have heard dominoes is pretty lightweight. So there we have it.

Addons save in 2 places. Some use both locations to save different things.

World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\ACCOUNT NAME\SavedVariables

and

World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\ACCOUNT NAME\SERVER NAME\TOON NAME\SavedVariables

I always configure my addon, save it as a new profile, copy those files and then just go into the addon and load the profile. I use mouse broadcasting sometimes, but I usually find it faster just to use profiles.

or perhaps u can use symlink so all toons would refer to the same lua file. this may only be useful for things that have to be exactly the same across all accounts or toons (depends which savedvariables folder we're talking about - account-wide or toon-specific).

for example, i use combuctor (bag addon) and would want the settings to be exactly the same across all toons and accounts, so i go and make a symlink to World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\ACCOUNT NAME\SavedVariables\Combuctor.lua

Yeah I tried copying the settings from the account saved variables, and the toon saved variables on each account but the settings didn't transfer for some reason, perhaps I missed something.

I wonder if theres a way to push settings with other addons like jamba does. Or an addon to push settings for other addons. Jafula? Perhaps you could knock something up :D

Like a wondow that shows what addons you have, and a check box for each to push those settings, like window position, window size, bar positioning, etc.. Of course you don't want settings pushed like Altoholics libraries for what are in your toons bags, gold values, or gear, cause then all your toons will have the same stuff as the main, or return values that error. If those can even be copied anyway I don't know.
