So I am back, toons moved to a different realm, boxing again and suffering at the same time.
Not sure what has changed but my pc is chugging which makes no difference as I am upgrading to a new machine like I was suppose to a while ago.

So... 5 boxing, 1 pc, as I do, but with frame rate issues...

Im going for 12 gig ram, graphics card I usually have always used nvidia, whats raedon like ? anyone use them?

I was considering 2G 6970 Powercolor, is that any good ?

CPU is Core i7 960

Probably a 120gig SSD though not sure if we are adding that yet though or not, or in how much of a real difference it will or wont make.

Motherboard unsure, something thats 1366 pin based

Any suggested, thoughts ?

Questions...
What computer are you currently using?
Why are you going to upgrade to a chipset that is almost 2 generations old?

We actually ended up with

1536M GTX580 Inno3D Vid Card
Core i7-960
G-B X58A-UD3R -Motherboard
Patriot Viper2-Sector7 12G Kit(4Gx3) 2000
Seagate SATA3 2T

We were basing prices on what we could afford.

Not getting the SSD Yet.

My computer is around 4 yrs old, had the old umm GTX 260 and 4 gig of ram which was Corsair think was 1366 cannot remember. Still using the old pc until my fiance comes back with the parts to build new machine shortly.

And at long last back to wireless mouse, I have used them for yrs love it, cannot handle corded mice, and I ended up with the Razer Naga for some time which I truely dislike.

So getting the G700

That system you moved to is fine for multiboxing but I was asking why you were "upgrading" to old equipment
because the current line of 1155 hardware is practically the same exact price and yet has better performance
clock for clock. I realize you're in Australia, but the 960 compared to the 2600K should be very close in price.
The difference in the US is $30 more for a 2600K over a 960.
