Hello, I just got back into boxing in WoW and am having trouble understanding the 2-step macros.

from what I undetstand, you make a mapped key with 2 steps using the same hotkey.

step 1 = regular cast macro

step 2 = proc casting macro

so when you are spamming the hotkey, you are doing step 1 then step 2 after each spell. is this correct?

the problem I am having is this, my shamans cast flame shock, then lava burst, then after a 2 sec pause they will cast lightning bolt. Then usually they will pause their casting again then do lava burst, and sometimes they cast lava burst first and not flame shock. So that is the problem I am having atm when leveling through hyjal.

I am using the macros that mercurio posted that is now a sticky for elemental shaman. When I made my 2 step macro, I got confused because i am not using the default isboxer FTL DPS Keymap. Looking for some help in creating the 2 step macro

thanks

I think the easiest solution is to create the 2 keymaps for the sequence and proc macros and then to create a 3rd keymap that fires on press and release (press will fire sequence, release will fire proc) and assign this to your spam key. It's also probably a good idea to create the sequence and proc macros as a named World of Warcraft macro set under the Game helpers section. Then in your spam macro you just call each in their own step with that press and release option selected.

thanks for the info vecter.

I "think" I got the problem solved on my end. what I had to do was

1 - make a mapped key that when I pressed G7 on my logitech 510, it would pass the key combination "ctrl+alt+numpad 9" to all of my dps shaman in my action target group

2 - make another mapped key with "2 steps"

3 - first step is the "sequence macro" portion and give this step key combination "ctrl+alt+numpad 9"

4 - second step is the "proc macro" portion and give this step a key combination "ctrl+alt+numpad 8"

thats it, I seem to do enough damage when I spam the hotkey imo.

**NOTE**
Make sure you set the "target field" in the sequence/proc macro creation window to your dps action target group that you created the 2step macro for.

example is: I play 4 shamans, 1x healer and 3x DPS. I made two action target groups, one for all of the "DPS" and the second group for "healer". So when you make the 2 step macros, just select "All of DPS shaman target group" for the "target dropdown box"
