Its to see what other multiboxers have achieved so far in Cataclysm. I personaly find it fun to see how high ppl managed to get in PvP, and perhaps ppl can give out tips on how to play against certain comps.

I just started doing Arena for the first time ever last week, so I'm not surprised I suck so bad. I've only done it 2 nights now (Monday and Tuesday) and had very difference experiences each night. Monday had some really shitty teams once in a while, which account for my few wins. On Tuesday night, there only seemed to be like 2-3 teams queueing and I was getting raped over and over until I just gave up.
If anyone has any tips or suggestions for 5-boxing 5v5 like I am, I'd welcome anything that can help. I don't care that much about my rating. I just want the points for gear. But it's impossible if too few teams queue and I get matched with teams that have 500 more MMR than me.

I find that Sunday nights are the most active. People trying to make 5s teams to try and get points. You should get a better mix of teams then.

The best option is to find 1 healer, and stick with him/her. Most higher 5s teams got the PvP weapons or awesome PvE weapons at this stage, and as you said, once you get the weps, it will be "fair" fights :)

The best option is to find 1 healer, and stick with him/her. Most higher 5s teams got the PvP weapons or awesome PvE weapons at this stage, and as you said, once you get the weps, it will be "fair" fights :)

Yup, i whant to play with my 2700 rated Paladin friend, tho hes playing so many other chars he rarley have time to do some 5s with me. When we did like 20 games we did both hotstreak and a total of like 15-5. So the healer matters very much ive discovered.

Healer is half the package still. Even if you can faceroll the DK's :D

Yup if your healer doesn't know how to LOS and lets the other team CC or train them it's GG. The healer is pretty important now days with most teams running 3 dps + 2 heals.

Whats your strats with this team?I usually try to kill the healer first. I've tried CC'ing the other team, but that doesn't seem to help at all, as they just trinket out of it and I can't re-hex because of the cooldown. I generally just try and burst down them one at a time, using mainly LB/CL and Earth Shock. I'm experimenting with a PVP build I saw around here somewhere that focuses on LB/CL/ES over FS/LvB. But it does have one drawback - being highly susceptible to spell school lockout.

I almost got 1500 on my 5x feral group (Jaarth and so on) last season. Obviously not gladiator (atleast not in BG9!) but serious fun when swipe damage was through the roof and some unsuspecting group would stack on each other. I did manage to get Hot Streak though :)

I seem to float in the 1900 range with 3 Dk 3s. Then start queueing into Holy Pal / Feral + X and get farmed back down to 1750ish.

I'm going to start trying to run with a priest friend doing 2 Dks + 1 again ( paladin healer from last season transfered off).

5s with 4 DKs + 1 (priest) we bounce around 1700-1800s.

Goal for this season is 2k in 3s and 5s... I hate stormstrike our BG is so inactive.

I didn't have a dedicated healer when I was playing last season. I didn't try 3's but I did win a few 2's games (mostly because I was away on a vacation and my laptop couldn't handle running all 5 at the same time...).

I haven't played them much since 4.2 but it is a fun class to play with once you have a decent amount of resilience. I did wipe a few Ruinous raids on orgrimmar (they bring dwarf tanks now so they can stoneform off the bleeds!) and have a lot of fun tearing up tol'barad when that was the thing to do.

We went 14-3 this week going from 2027 rating to about 2075 (i lost to a 1700 team due to my internet going out :( which cost me 30 points...screwed me out of being 2100 again)

if you can do it once you can do it multiple times (especially playing single toons) just need to have capable players to play with which is the harder part.

I doubt it's that easy ... even with the OP comp, since many run it, yet the same ppl end up on top. Saying that it's a joke to reach glad is a bit too much l33t lolpwn rofl noob arena junkies kiddie speak :p We both know it takes more skill than 99% of the people have in this game to reach it, regardless of the season and comp (obv some comps will give you a better chance to reach it.)

I played lsd, 2x mage/disc/ele and an enhance/warrior/paladin team to glad in s8, the lsd was crazy we had about 50:3 from 2.4k to 2660 (#17 at the end), the mage/disc/ele comp was also not really hard had over 80% win loss ratio and ended up #32 and #42 (last gladiator spot ) at the end. The melee cleave was even more a joke than the lsd, our warrior was multi gladiator and s6 #1, in combination with shadowmourne I just had to spam purge on everything and stuff died from his retarded damage.

anyway I would have been s8 multibox gladiator with 2460 (had 2456 already after week 6) but I havent trusted the arena junkies calculator, said that 8 teams will get gladiator while we had 1-3 glad spots in the past, I went 10-12 against the final rank two team (fought rank one only once and the had damn luck). After all I regret that so hard that I didnt trust the aj calculator but ... have to accept that my highest multibox title is duelist :/

Smourne was also really dumb, but there there is no denying that spell cleaves were an absolute joke. Just line up burst after trinkets and game over.

Like i said, i wasn't knocking you just saying that of all seasons to get glad on an ele shaman or any REAL spell cleave... s8 isn't the season to be most proud of doing so. Last season if you did get it as ele and not resto i believe you and nuvoz/novoz were the only two to do so.

This season for spell cleaves with the orange is going to be a joke... looking forward to double instant mind blast from spriests and double to tripple shatters from mages.

2345/2346 comps @2150-2300 are much easier to beat than quad melee/eurocomp @ 1700, however I wont say the fraps fps loss causes a defeat, but playing with 25 fps instead of 60 is a noticeable difference, guess I should use buy some more computer ~

While my shaman team kind of got placed on the back burner in favor of my DKs+Pal, I'll often just cap points for the week. I don't take any points in instant ghost wolf for my arena spec, instead I put them into Ancestral Resolve. I found myself in the same situation as you where I was barely using it in arena and it felt like a waste of talent points.

Invaluable in BGs, however! I don't know what I'd do without instant ghost wolf in those.

I got the rocket boots for moving quick in BGs :) ghost wolf is overrated in arenas, cus if you have to start moving to chase down ppl, you've won :)

It is godly, for both the ghost wolf insant AND the 15% run speed. Ghost wolf doesn't go below 100% speed (unless against a glyphed hunter's concussive shot).

I find instant ghost wolf is very useful when I do arenas solo with other "real" people.
It helps a great deal when you need to create some distance from melees when they are immune to thunderstorm. Drop an Earthbind totem (which I also have talented for root) and pop GW to run away and heal if needed.

Nope I havent. My healer has been slacking for 1-2 months now. Had to start searching for random healers from trade chat, so my rating has been destroyed! But autum vacation is coming soon, hopefully we'll play and get up to 2000 rating atleast. Krushpak is sitting on 2277 rating atm, so he'll get his t2 weps pretty soon. I wonder how he does it. He had a winning streak of 35 matches above 2050 rating

hmpf, in season 8 I had like 90% winratio to ~2400 and now 69% (including this lucky week now) to 2303, eurocomp is kinda unbeatable, 3/4 melee dps is auto lose and no comment to mage/boomkin/multiple mage comps, allthough I dont have the 2,2 weps I dont think I can beat enough 2,5+ teams to get #1, our pool is pretty dead in 5s means we dont have a gladiator spot in 5s (so far ~270 active teams, 400 are required for a gladiator spot)

too bad that our #1 is eurocomp and so far I have no clue how to beat that, even with the mage dead I cant win this if rogue/lock sticks on my pally ... ofc I could wintrade to #1 but ... nvm

I'll be leveling some shammies soon for a change of pace most likely especially with the CL change. But i'm in a 6/7 heroic guild (pre-nerf) and we downed rag last week on my rogue so i'll be single boxing next season i think since i'm apparently the one to get legendaries... gogo carry to glad because of legendaries again >_>

I don't do 5's anymore, my healer for 5's (the gladiator) quit playing and i don't trust my 3's healer enough to keep 4 dps alive... considering i basically tell him how to play his toon and when to use cooldowns mid game >_> I'd do more 5's if i had a decent healer, my realm is dead and i don't plan on keeping my dks there past x-mas.

If you refer to the announced ptr rogue changes, afaik they are only tooltip changes.

Last part of the quest now favors 10m heroic guilds over 25m hc guilds (you'll still get it faster in 25m due to more drops, but 10m hc drops more cinders relative to raid size).

I have till next june or so... i mean it will happen and that staff's proc is just too good. I am x-fering them to a big server with a bunch of gold for gdkps soon (once my mages are 100% done and i get a week to farm)

Mana is the biggest issue so far, once i have to start heal myself or my healer I go OOM in no time! Dmg output is good to with the normal weps, you can drop plateusers with FS, UE, LvB and earth shock. Only thing is to set up the kill :)

I don't disagree, but Shams generally get the shaft for long periods of time before they get any decent changes. Taking away astral shift was one of the worst things that they did to Ele in cata.
Resto some how got lucky and were able to remain OP while ENH/ELE got shat on for most of season 9, ele is in a decent place in season 10. If they brought back astral shift or gave shamans a defensive CD they'd be in really good shape. My original quote wasn't meant to sound like a dick, it was more like LOL right Blizzard and Shaman CD's are likely to never happen.



Then came 5.0... Shamans and DKs in multibox form on paper so far are going to be redonkulous.

It's only a 3 second sleep, but it has about the same range as blind if I remember right. I only used it once while leveling 1-10 at Blizzcon. I wish I would have paid more attention to it lol.

If he gets his title theres going to be a lot of outroar from the PVP community. They hate boxers to begin with. Knowing that a 3 way tie was set up and that win trading did happen... shit will likely get done as theres honestly quite a few people who have reported all 3 teams.

Couldnt do shit. Couldnt thunderstorm, couldnt push you go defensive, couldnt outheal you, couldnt do crap about it. I managed to outheal you the first fight, but you insta switched and killed one of my shamans in 2 GCDs! Unfair advantage with AMS shield up when you can 100 % normal dmg. Should nerf dmg by 50% when AMS is up :P
