4 DKs or 4 Mages?

Hi, I currently just leveled my mages to 55, but I've heard Death Knights are very good in PvP. And PvP will be my focus when I get to endgame. I was wondering which class I should choose to go forward with? What I like about mages, is you press 2 buttons, Arcane blast, and arcane barrage, and you can mow through a lot in PvP. But how hard is it to play Death Knights? Which class is more fun, and which do you prefer?

So the question is, 4 Arcane Mages, or 4 Frost Death Knights?

Edit: Also, whats the deal with runes? I've never made a DK before.

since blizz introduced click2move + iwt, i moved to melee classes and much prefer them. their spike dmg might not be as high as casters, but they can take a beating. plus it's more satisfying to stomp an enemy then to pop him from a distance. it's almost a guaranteed nerd rage when i death grip + 5x (howling blast + obliterate) to insta-kill someone. they usually roll a lowbie alt and complain (achieve!!)

i work alongside Oath in BGs... him on his 10x locks or 10x shammies and me on my 5x DKs... the combination has been very successful at holding the boss room in IoC (we usually defend and let the other 25 get the gate down... which always takes 5 minutes longer then the alliance for some unknown reason). unless they get their stuff together and hit us with 25+, we usually hold it.

we do have a 5x boxing mage on magtheridon, mclovein (sp?). he's been stompin alliance very successfully.

i'd suggest trying both, learn which play style you enjoy, and go with it.

when you say PVP, do you mean arena or BGs.
For Arena I would think DKs are much more powerful, but for BGs mages can be lots of fun too.

Dont know about DKs but for arena I'm not very successful with 5 mages - well beside the occasional lol I sheeped all 5 of you ;) But for large BGs they are much fun.

when you say click2move + iwt whats iwt? as well. how would i set this up for use in the best way?

Iwt is Interact With Target and is a feature wich makes you character try to "Interact" with the target it have. If you also have click to move enabled, the character will run to its target aswell = Win :D

There is a good step by step guide here on the forums by Ualaa, dont have link atm, but im sure someone can link it to you.

For the class matter, DKs over everything atm. (For PvP/Arena)

I have two teams at 85, mages and DKs. I love the DKs and can't find myself to even log the mages on anymore. They are tons of fun and I too get a lot of level one characters sending me hate tells after most of the BGs I run. It was a surprise to me, but apparently I have no life and wet the bed.

I have a team of 5 mages at 85 and 4 dk + DKs are far more effective on BGs than mages, melees and fear eat up my mages.
