Trading VP for conquest points does not count for season total

As the title says, I found out the hard way that trading valor points for conquest points does not count towards your season total earned points. Gonna have to wait another week before I can get the new weapons on an alt team. This while I could've easily capped out through arena for this week and meet the requirements for the weaps (7800 cp earned). I'm 17 points short due to this :D Made a ticket and asked the GM if he can remove the 250 conquest points from VP so I can cap out through arena, don't expect much but waiting for an answer.

Just felt like sharing so others don't make the same mistake.

The first week I played my Feral, I traded VP for Conquest points. The conquest points gained from VP, were added to my cap. I had like 300 conquest points. Added 600 from Valor. My cap was 1650. So I could still get 750 points from Arena/RBG.

So if your cap is 1650, and you got your 1650 points, there is no way to get more conquest points. I think this contradicts your conclusion if I follow?

Hes saying they dont add to your counter of "earned this season" so you can go towards weapons.
