What a steal! 2G is more then enough for 5 boxing and 460 although not the very best is very good.
BY FAR the best buy for under $200. Probably you can't get a better 2G card for under $250.
Wait untill July 1st though as the rebate dosn't kick in untill then. You can order two of the same and get rebate on both!

I've had this card and it sucks.
The GPU is way too weak to process the info so the 2gb is a waste,

I can't imagine that a GTX 460 was too weak to 5 box with. I'm not a fan of Zotac but, perhaps you had
your video settings too high and were running out of VRAM (which seems to be a lot of people's issues
with Cataclysm and DX11).

It is true that the 460 is not first level by any means, but what is your other choice under $250?
Ya this is my first use with Zotec but their specs seem in line and the two I have havn't stoped working yet but I havn't ran wow with them.
I have an edge in that I play full screen so I only need render a single client per computer whereas if you tile you have to render a lot more so most of you would put a lot more stress on the GPU.
Still we are talking "basic card to run 5 box" and you won't do well in cites with effects on. Probably you need to run your slave at poor and your main at average (no shadows) at best. But $119 is a steal.
The 460 is no slouch eaither;

Ya it sucks compared to cards that cost 2-3X more ....
Lets say its at 70fps by that chart, by going to 100fps you are looking at spending $350 or more.

460 is fine for 5 boxing, as long as you keep the details low and have a decent proc with 8GB+ RAM.
I've also owned a Zotac and never had any issues with it. Solid card from a solid company, IMHO.

You're an idiot.
That is all.
Also, Sam, what do you box with? How old is it? How many clients do you run? Exactly.
Yeah Igg, you're an idiot.

I'm upgrading 5 computers to to 2G 460's (I have 3 now) and 1 1G 460 (main, which I have)
Ill be running 6 clients on 5 computers and 1 client on 1 computer (main) for 31 total
Newegg is already out of stock lol .... I logged in 4 hours after midnight on the 1st and they were out.
Oh well can still get for $159 at tigerdirect.
But i run full screen so I dont need as much gpu power.
All my computers are X2 Athlon 3.2Ghz. All computers have 8G of ram and Win7 64 bit. I use raptors having given up on SSD. Money is tight now so the only upgrades I am doing are the video cards at this time. I hope to upgrade my keyboard if my usb splittler works.
I ran 7 clients on systems with 9600 and 512K, so this is a solid upgrade for some of my computers.
Ya my systems are dated but they will do fine, the main is only one client so I have great freedom with the main (leader) and, again, because I run full screen (i.e. I only render a single client at a time unlike most who tile and have to render 5 clients) at 1920 X 1200 (on all computers) I use A LOT less gpu power.
Also everything is shut down when I play, I don't use norton or anything similar and I don't have any background programs cept wow running.
My systems are a hybrid hard/soft ware. They are hard wired to the key and mouse but isboxer sends the commands to all clients on each computer (but not to other computers).
If you want to run 5 clients all with full screen windows tilted with full effects at 1920 X 1200 in a city ya the 460 sucks but if you are going to just play with normal settings in the field well its more then good enough.

Yeah Igg, you're an idiot.
I wouldn't go calling people idiots but, perhaps some reasoning on his behalf on why he believes the card
itself is too weak to power 5 games on a single machine. Saying "the card sucks" with no reasoning, proof,
or troubleshooting to back up the statement kinda disqualifies it as a valid user review.
You're an idiot.

Have you ever used it? If not DIAF thx.
I've used to 5 box with a pair of these cards, 1 for main monitor 1 for secondary monitor with 4 clients.
It's not able to run at a decent resolution (1920x1200 on high) or what's the point for my use.
For the cost of a pair of these, you're better of with a 6970 2gb. Damn kids these days, spouting their mouth off on the internet thinking they're tough shit.
If low is acceptable for you then go for it.

Here is my 4 clients on my secondary screen flying over water with 2x AA on, 1920x 1200 resolution.
You're exactly right, the 460 is not a card you should 5 box with while using multisampling. In fact, I
wouldn't even use multisampling at all while multiboxing on my GTX 580 3GB.

Just to clarify, although the 6950/70's are better then the 460; if the choice is 460 2G vs. 6970 1G I would still go with the 460, for multiboxing purposes.
If its 2G vs. 2G then the 6950 or 6970 are superior.

I agree with you there on the multi sampling, i ONLY do multi sampling on the main toon, the tank or the main prefered lead.

Nope, never used it, but I was impressed at its price/performance/heat output compared to other iterations of the then quite new Fermi architecture.
Oh, and I ran 5 clients at 3240x1920 on a SINGLE 5850 1GB with acceptable performance. Also, with two cards, instead of running the clients in 1/4 split config you should have run them in a 2/3, allowing more consistent high performance overall. It's almost a "why bother" situation in my opinion if you run a 1/4 split.
While multiboxing, I see little to no reason to have multisampling, simply because it's a drain on system resources and jaggies don't really bother me.
Hah, I win!
