Anyone still doing firelands farming after the nerf to drops? If so, share some info.

Group? Soloing? How does this work exactly. Do you just go into the instance yourself or do you get added to someones instance who is done for the week and farm respawning trash so you don't deal with bosses?

every video I have seen on firelands trash farming shows the person soloing the trash which looks like almost infinite amount of space to kite them. I zoned into a fresh firelands raid myself and the place is packed with mob packs. I mean the ramp you have to go down to get to the ground level has a molten behemoth walking up and down it. you can walk around him but I see no way to get all those mobs chasing you and have the room to kite them.

I think you need at least 1 boss down for the week, leave the instance and reset it. all the trash should respawn, and you just head to the area where the downed boss was killed and kite mobs around that area.

uh...the "first boss" wouldn't open up any trash at all.

Shannox pats around the circle of between the other 4 bosses.

Pretty sure once trash a boss is dead the trash won't despawn until you kill it. And once you kill it, it won't come back again.

Don't quote me on that.

First I was like "ka-Chingg!" but then suddenly all rogues, moonkins, ele shammies and dks are doing the same on my realm.. Meh. :P Only weapons sell more than 4k..
Kinda stupid to run 10 mages there, when most of the classes can take mobs out solo. I'm no jelly but the prices are so cheap atm that the farming isn't worth much anymore.. qq.

Am I selfish if I secretly hoped trash buff, like adding one mob with aoe heals there, so the cc would still play great role on the farming? :P

Eh I stopped farming after I hit 800k and have spent 100k since. =/

i just started.. I get one or two epics a day. I hope they nerf it so you cant "solo" it.. like make some of the mobs immune or high resistant to snare/slow effects. But it should stay "group" friendly lol ( yes I'm a selfish bastard! )

On my realm ( Zuljin ) the epics range from 6-20k still. The only item in the last few days i sold for less than 10 was the tank ring ( got 6k ) But my mages are still fresh 80s. I got 6 85 mages and 3 have the staff now. need 3 more. by then i should be honored for the belt. And I still need lots of cash... so ill be farming it for awhile. unless someone has a better idea!

Is this place only being farmed with mage teams?

mage teams with all bosses up, with 1+ bosses down, it can be kited

I actually started farming BoT again. The Unheeded warnings go for a lot on my server. I think they are pretty close to BiS for Feral or Rogue in PvP at least. Also, the Chelly's staff goes for 8k, and the other epics seem so to sell well at the 4k range. Also, the guys drop WAY more green, cloth and gold.

FL farming is easy on 5 mages in a new instance. I usually farm it to rep up another 5 guys I'll leave at the entrance. Staff, Rans of Hatred, Scalpel, Obsid Cleaver all go for over 20k on my server still.

I actually farm FL with 5-6 account : 1tank 1 heal 3-4 dps and it's very easy. For the giants, i pop BL and tanking CD's, and for the elem packs, i use CC. When the first boss spawn, i reset the dungeon.

I'm guessing your guys heroic geared?

Yes, now my team's ilvl is 362-366, but when I started farm fireland, just 355ilvl.

Firelands

Rogue Smoke Bombs cannot prevent the spawning of Magma Traps during the fight against Ragnaros.
Several creatures in the Firelands are no longer susceptible to snares or other immobilizing effects.
Unbound Pyrelords, Unbound Smoldering Elementals, Unbound Blazing Elementals, and Patriarch Fire Turtles now drop silver instead of gold.



Wonder if firelands trash prices are going to go up now?

On my serv, prices don't go up :( But i'm on a very very small server. Precision : with the nerf, the pack of 4elem is now imune to CC, they are more hard now because this, I don't see info of this in blue-posts. All other pack are similar after and before last nerf for a multiboxer, but not for a soloer^^

For BoT farming, know that there is an incoming nerf on Unheeded Warning. The 980 wep damage will become 1900 AP, which will make it a lot less good to say atleast(if not crap). The passive agility is what makes is worth something still.

any epics? I must need tons of gear.. i get one shotted by the giants 8( Any tips you can give on the different trash types?

No epics on the video. For the giant, I use BL, big heals, and earth elem when my tank hit 4-5debuff, and earth elem taunt the giant for take debuff, and reset my tank's debuff. If you can't kill him, you can skip him. Naga pack is easy, sheep the caster or stopcast them. Scorpions : focus the giant scorpion, after, aoe small scorpions (kill them when you are full-life). Magma-dog hit for big damage on the tank, and he fear the raid . For jogger I just space my toon and my tank, and heals the damage. The lasts packs of 4elems are really hard now you can't cc them, focus pyrolord, when a little elem start his AoE, burst him.
ps : sorry for bad explain, but i don't good speak english :s I learn ^^
