Hi folks,

i am new to this, and I started with a Warrior, Priest - Team. I take my warrior as main, because of the Attention he needs. My Priest is running after and try to "assist". I have macros for healing and for attacking, but with the attacking macros I can only assist. Thats a problem for example debuffing several enemies, because every debuff goes on the assist target.

/assist Warriorname
/spell Shadowword: Pain

Simple but works.
What I need is a Macro which attacks the target focused if harm or assist if noharm. Is it possible? Can I have an intelligent switch between the targets?

Maybe

/focus warriorname
/cast [target=focustarget, harm, nodead] Shadow Word: Pain
/cast [target=focustarget, help, nodead] Renew

You would have to target yourself to get a renew, and I haven't tested, so I don't know if focustarget works or not...

Thats not what i was looking for. I dont want to heal or make damage, I want to make damage on a target if its [harm] or do damage on the targets target if its [noharm]. That should help me to assist my warrior and also have the ability to change the target.

I don't think you can do exactly what you want. Unfortunately you can't automatically select a target unless it is in your party or targeted by a member of your party or so on down through the focus/target chain originating at a member of your party.

you can use target, targettarget focus, focustarget focustargettarget etc.

you could use the target=mouseover if you have mouse control of the priest

regarding the renew, you could use

/cast [target=focustarget, help, nodead] Renew; Renew

The first condition to be matched is cast so if the focustarget is harm or dead then the renew after the semi-colon will be cast on the priest's target or the priest if the target is nohelp or dead

I was writing the previous post while you replied so will respond to that now.

you could try

/assist Warriorname
/spell [target=target, harm, nodead] Shadowword: Pain; [target=targettarget, harm, nodead] Shadowword: Pain
