Hello,
I am new to Multiboxing and it drives me crazy until now. Because of having just two toons, i want to control them seperately. For this I tested Synergie and Multiboxing (last one is to slow in switching for me with up to 3 seconds). In Synergie i have the bug, that i the mouse does not react correctly when use mousebutton and clicking together. The "relative mouse movement" option does not help. There is furthermore the "Scroll Lock" key to fix it, but to press a button every time your are switching and having the mouse set to center is not acceptable for me, if you are switching every second.

Does someone know how to fix it? Without these bug synergie would fit perfectly to me. And I dont want to pay for commercial software when I dont know wheather they will work or not.

Please help ;(

b) Searching "synergy mouse fix" with the search function yields two results (probably three now) both of which are this topic.

Pointing to the search function is great if you're sure it has an answer, like "Is a paladin 4 shaman group good" or "What macro do I use for a mage." If there's no answer and that's probably why the post was made... it's just mean.

I am already search in the forum and in google and elsewhere, but the most people having the same problem does not get an helpful answer, except the Scroll Lock thing i described. Furthermore founding that in the forum wasn't to easy, so I posted my "solution" and problem description for new user.

That's strange. I got 3 pages of results when I ran that search. Wierd-ass search code. Not sure WTF that number is.

Anyway, search for "synergy mouse problem" and you'll get a ton of answers.

[edit] As a minor addition, I never did get the mouse problem you describe to work with Synergy, even trying the various fixes posted here and on the synergy sourceforge forums. So your mileage may vary.

The only mouse fix for Synergy I know of is called: Octopus. Great program, I like it much more than Synergy.

I've searched and searched to try and fix this problem. Where you HAVE to press the "scroll lock" key in order to NOT get completely wacked out mouse movements. This is a pain when you are dual-boxing 2 toons who don't use something like keyclone to sync up keys.

I've tried this:

section: options
relativeMouseMoves = true
keystroke(F4) = lockCursorToScreen(toggle)
end

And F4 (I've tried numerous other keys) is easier to reach than the scroll lock button, but it's still a Pain the arse.

I'm guessing it's simply not something that you can get around.

I'd like to ask the original post what his two Operating Systems are? I'm using Linux and Windows. Linux is my server and windows is the client. I even tried reversing them, but still have the same issue.

Me love you long time if you have a solution for this!!!

Please feel free to find me on #Multiboxing on irc.quakenet.org as "Trae" I did the search as people suggested for solutions and found nothing worth a flip.

Before I started using octopus I used Synergy allot. What helped for me was to use hotkeys to switch screens. That way I could have the locked option on at all times. Only downside to locked mode is that it doest remember where the mouse was when leaving a client screen. Position at server screen is remembered at all times.

F1 = left screen, F2 = center screen and F3 = right screen. Still pressing the damn F1 key and missing it hard, it isn't an implemented octopus option. Also mapped I had my mousescrollbutton which has a left and right click option, so clicking left moved my mouse to one monitor left, en right was one to the right. When I was at the end of my screens it would loop to the first / last in order. So I could go round and round only with my mousescrollclickthingy. Really missing this option in Octopus (hint hint).

Before I came to dual-boxing I used to make hotkeys in synergy that would switch to a pc, press a key, and switch back to my main pc. It wasn't really mash proof like the other solutions around now. This was my basic form of multiplexing before I found Micahs version of synergy multiplexing keys. When dual-boxing.com was not so hot as it is now.
