In all of my years of playing World of Warcraft...
I had no idea that their passwords were not cAsE sEnSiTivE.
Am I the only one that didn't know this (until today)?

They were at one point (my roomate had 3 caps in and i couldn't log into his account with no caps) to do his daily cooldown for him a few times. Wonder when it was changed.

This guy (http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/2313683289#1) claims it's been like that since the beginning. Someone posted that and it's what made me say "WTF?!"

Wow! I had no idea either, this reduces complexity slightly. The more you know....

This. I had a cap first letter on a password that I use elsewhere in all lowercase. When I'd been drinking, I always forgot to put in that first capital. :p This is a somewhat recent change.

Nah, it's been like that for years (on EU servers, at least) - when I set it up, day 1 of EU release, my password had a couple of upper case chars sprinkled in it. A good few years ago, I noticed that the case didn't matter when entering it, as my caps lock button stuck on (but I didn't notice that until I was logged in and started to chat).
So it's definitely not a recent change.

In the last three years, passwords have not been case sensitive.
At least mine have not mattered, in that time period.

Old bullshit. A fucking joke far as account security goes by itself.
Seriously. Complaints have been made (one by me), no change.
Then you realize they lock the account after x attempts, so brute forcing becomes less of an issue.

I realized it a year ago or so after my account's were hacked, even sent an email over to blizzard about it but no response.

I found out about it two or three years ago, during one of the many threads on the WOW forums complaining about account security.
