Just opened up the 2nd part of the new dalies, So far they are all VERY multibox friendly! There was one collection quest to gather roots or some crap but it was only 7 to collect and the area is fairly small where they spawn.

Everyone in the team seems to share objectives credit for the ones I've done so far.. just beautiful!

Is it a pvp cluserfuck? I havent stepped outside of the new raid from farming except to sell stuff.

It's very crowded so I'd assume so. I play mostly on a PVE server but I'd imagine that there's a lot of nonsense on the PVP servers

Yes! These new dailys are awesome! And if you look up the vendors that are unlockable and the items they sell ............... HOO BOY!!!! Oh, and dont forget to look at the vendor inside the cave that is already unlocked. He sells 4 pieces of 365 gear that you can buy right away, for just gold. There are plate tanking boots, INT necks, STR DPS necks and Agility ring.

445 Marks to unlock the first vendor (not counting the one selling 4 epics and stupid rep tokens) is pretty insane though.

am i missing something or is it only 8 per day too? Oo

Kalros

It will be time-consuming, for sure. It will take 31 days to unlock the first vendor, then another 10 to unlock the other two. However you also get 16 gold per character, per quest. So that's 1100 gold a day just doing the daily once you've unlocked them all. I spent many more days than 41 doing the Icecrown/Argent Dailys. And I think the rewards will be worth the effort.

Gold is useless, and I'll never get why ppl (boxers) are farming raid trash beyond their own needs.

LOL, gold is useless? Then by all means, send me yours because I can ALWAYS find things to buy with it.

Tonuss

Gold isn't useless. It's not necessary for the most part, but it's an easy path to quick upgrades and enchants if you cannot or do not want to farm them yourself.

if your an alt-o-holic like me. then gold comes in handy. I like my teams having epic flying as soon as they can train it for example. etc..

Also, making money is a mini game.. its fun to see how much you can horde up!

Gold is pretty much useless at a certain point. With normal gameplay (questing, instances, zero farming), you could have easily made more than a million gold since cata release. Well, if you think you HAVE to buy random BoE crap as soon as it hits the server at stupid prices, then you might run out of gold. Farming raid trash (well, any kind of farming) for hours to get gold is absolutely mind-numbing.

What about the bird dalies? I can use the item on everyone at once, but it seems like people that already have enough of one kind still use it and steal the capture from the others. Any suggestions?

Getting more gold is the only reason i'm still playing this game, approaching 1M soon. People have different motivations for playing MMOs, it's what you make of it.

4.2 dailies are the best thing that has hit WoW in a while. The areas are massively crowded though and i end up getting quite a few HKs every day while howling blasting my mobs. :D

Unfortunately you have to do that one with each toon individually. Its not too terrible. Slightly better than a ground spawn collect quest. And so far, thats the only one of the new Dailys that has been even somewhat tedious.

It was kind of a big pain in the ass until you figured out what was going on.

Then once you knew what you were looking for it wasn't too bad.

one trick for the bird quest is to park each toon in their own spot...leave broadcasting/keybind on and have them all spam the ability while you focus on one. btt you get done with one..the others will be partially done. i park my guys near trees,at the top..for a chance they will grab the small birds and owls.

That's not a bad idea. I was skipping the bird one yesterday but noticed there were certain spots that seemed to be good "spawn points" .. the top of the building with the open roof seems to spawn an owl and a few songbirds. The followup for this quest is extremely quick so it may be worthwhile to still do this bird quest for the extra 2 marks/day.

Gold is as much useless in wow as money is in irl. You can only wear one pair of pants at a time. However I prefer being able to buy tripple layered toilet paper instead of single layered, for the obvious reasons, and that comes with a price. Pretty much the same in wow, apart from enjoying making gold.

Alright.. I've opened up Phase 3 by choosing my first team to work with the Druids. These, so far, are not very multibox friendly, at least when compared with the quests in phase 1 and 2. Besides several collection quests (including one that has you using vents to jump in precise direction and distance to grab the baby fire hawks) you must jump on platforms ala Super Mario which I found difficult to do via multiboxing. I'll try the other side tomorrow when one of the other teams can progress to Phase 3.

Got to phase 3 yesterday with the dks and one quest is a serious pain that should not be multiboxed.

Basically you have to go into a cave and on the ground around the area are 6-7 i think, runes that you have to click to kill elementals chasing you as they will keep spawning.
Problem is with one solo toon you will have say 5+ elementals running for you, but with 5 toon thats 5+ for each toon you have and they just keep growing, you just cant kill them because more will spawn..it gets crazy and damage gets crazy, you cant stop running to heal everyone or your screwed, they knock you into pools of lava to.

I wiped a few times and then just took one toon in at a time and it was fairly simple.
one rune is at the back you have to time a jump from a wind vent thing to jump across.

Also had a collection quest where you have to collect 20 eggs around the area..not so bad as they give 1-4 e eggs.
I went shadow wardens btw.

But still 4.2 quests have been pretty good.
Only this and the bird quest i hate.

The cave quest isnt too hard with 5 if you got a healer with you. Just throw some AoE heals while you slowly click the seals with each toon, then move to the next one.

Shadow Wardens have only 2 stupid quests afaik. The egg one and even worse, the flower one where you have to collect 8 flowers from lava pools. Am not bothering with collection dailies, so I just skip them.

After doing both sides for a few days - I'd have to say the Druid side is better. They also have a flower quest but it's not as bad, only having to collect 5 of each and no lava worms randomly jumping up to aoe your group. Today I got both the flower and egg quest together.. yuk =)

Also a tip for doing the "peak" quests for the druids.. if you fall off the ledge you get carried to the peak-side of the area.. so when you are ready to go over there, just have your party follow you over the ledge like lemmings and you can avoid jumping them over the rocks. On the way back there is a vent that can carry you over as well.

Clicking the next rune kills the elementals around you, never have to dps a single one.

A couple updates about 4.2 Dailys.

1. I tested it on my warlock(unknowingly, i just wanted a 365 cape), and you can actually get to the "second tier"(molten front) the first day. It's 20 marks and you get 16 from the first quests + 4 from the first day of dailys.

2. On the flame quest you all are talking about, with the runes. One thing I actually discovered today is that if you're character is standing on the rune, he stops taking damage from the elementals. With this knowledge in hand, I'm going to give it another shot tommorow with my 3 DKs and just stand on the rune to gather up all the elementals then repeater it up.

3. I really hated the quest where you have to heal up the Hyjal Protectors. I don't know why, but it really bothered me. After unlocking Shadow's Wardens I kept wondering why I wasn't getting the new dailys. I tried asking in general, but gave up pretty quickly. I then found out like a week later that: You HAVE to do all the dailys in the Molten Front to do the Shadow's Warden/Druids of the Talons quests.

4. After unlocking both Shadow's Wardens and Druids of the Talons, three new quests open up requiring 125 marks each. One of them is a vendor that has some nice gear: http://www.wowhead.com/npc=53214

There's some pretty legit gear from it(atleast for a boxer that doesn't really play much/undergeared). I'm considering leveling up a blacksmith for the 365 weapons. I think I'd be dumb not to. Masterwork Elementium Deathblade

Not to mention craftables for all alts and stuff.

Happy Hunting! Sorry for the long winded post, I hope that answers your question remanz(and all of you who aren't posting any possible questions you might have).

Yesterday I hit the first batch of 125 marks, used them to unlock the pattern vendor.
I hate the into the fire quest, so I just do the other part. Any marks i'm missing like that or did blizzard think and it doesn't matter?

They made that change around two weeks ago. Instead of getting 12 the first day and 4 each successive day, you now get all 20 the first day.

I heard Wardens give an extra daily...I dunno.

I haven't tried the druids quests yet...probably won't. I'll stick to what I know is quick and easy.

A quick update...

With both the Druids and Shadow Wardens unlocked, you can get an extra daily worth 3 marks each day for the Shadow Wardens. After "Enduring the Heat" you will get one called"Striking at the Heart" or something like that.. basically you just go up the hill and kill a boss for 3 easy marks.

Also there is a daily on the Druid side called Fire in the Skies that only shows up if you do one of 2 specific dailies the day before. The quests you have to do before are either the one where you grab an egg from the top of the peak or where you gather 5 baby fire hawks. the quest Fire in the Skies is a bombing run much like what we've seen before. All members of your party get credit for creatures bombed as long as they're not too far away. It still can take some time to complete.

I now do the Shadow Wardens every day instead of the Druids. The extra 3 marks for the bonus quest is nice, and it's a lot easier to ignore the collection quests that show up. With the Druid side you know you will be jumping around in the lava trying to get those flowers each day.

thx for the tip.. once one gets the patterens/recipies..what are the marks good for? rep tokens? anyone know whats in that bag you can buy?

riffraff

The bag you can buy for 30 marks has a chance to contain a pet. This pet is the scortchling that was only available via the Midsummer festival years ago. This is now the only way to get this pet. Besides that the marks can be traded for standard reps.

Calling the Ancients (http://www.wowhead.com/quest=29283) - Unlocks the Strike at the Heart daily, as well as the vendor Varlan Highbough (http://www.wowhead.com/npc=53882) who sells epic gear.

Since I've got a small sample size of the Zen'Vorka's Cache I thought I'd share:

35 bags opened
.. 32 contained BoE Greens, ranging from lvl 82 to 84
.. 3 contained Elementium Lockboxes.

Update Edit:

100 bags opened
12 elementium bags
2 scortchling pets

Last update:
305 bags opened
34 elementium boxes
14 searing scortchlings
