Recruit-A-Friend now awards bonus experience and free level grants to level 80, up from level 60.

I don't get it. So is it a full copy of WoW, but it comes with a 1-month subscription? The way they've worded it sounds like it's just a 30 day trial.

Full copy of game with no trial restrictions. Not sure if that means trial restrictions are back after 30 days though.

Patience has paid off!
I've been slow in getting everything set up with my gaming rig and getting all the copies of xpacs needed for my new accounts (still waiting on bargains for WotLK...). Thankfully/unfortunately when my a/c in my car crapped out on me 2 weeks ago, my budget got turned on its headed and now no money left for getting last pieces needed for multiboxing fun.
Anyways, I don't feel so bummed about my setback after this great news!

I did not get any free key either and I am playing wow since 11/2005. I guess it has to do something with RAF not working in our country. I have 5 accounts anyway, so it would be of no use to me. grats to you if you get key and can use it.

Only problem ther is now..i cant make danish accounts, since in denmark we are not allowed to recruit friends.... so most make them english accounts

The RAF change is nice. Will help quite some people I suppose.

I think the 1 month 'trial' means you can also level to 85 and fully enjoy the game without restrictions. Where only a vanilla version would cap you at 60. After that month you need to buy all expensions still I asume.

My question is, would it be faster to get 4 new accounts and start from scratch, then to level any new teams that are 60ish now? lol. Anywho..If i get the itch to 10 box again, ill feel much better about it now 8) 1-80 instance grinding will be super fast..

Yeah it was supposed to be last restart, according to trade chat... though can't trust trade chat for your local news network.

As for RAF I doubt that bliz will re-enable RAF for people that have existing accounts. I think its automated and works only when you set it up the standard way. I wish it was otherwise I'd reactivate it for my 4 accounts. I have done so much on them I wouldn't want to replace them with other toons. I think if I was to start 10 boxing then I'll just get 5 more accounts then level them up to 80 the standard way. Kinda sucks since they should have done that at the start of cata since that probably would have got more people into multiboxing or just having multiple accounts as a lot of people do, or encourage their friends to play right from the get go of cata.

I have 21 active accounts and 10 accounts to buy (already have all the expansions for them including basic and cata). Those new 10 accounts will Fly with my "level 10 accounts to 40, level 2 of those to 80 and get all 10 to 80 method!" LOL.

Man I am way better to make 2 X 10 groups on the RAF and just move them to my other accounts even with level 40-50's on the other accounts.

I would assume yes. You are able to recruit your own BNet e-mail address(es) for RaF, I would guess they're
going to allow this key to be used wherever you'd like it to be used.

This is my current plan for 31 boxing tweaked it a bit cause I am not locked into level 50 guys I have anymore.

1 Prot Pal (tank/main)
18 Fire Mage (pvp) (archane during pve phase)
3 Demon Warlock (ritual of summoning, offtank pets also good for longest range attack in pvp)
6 Resto Shaman (healing)
1 circle of healing talented Priest (mass dispel)
1 Stealth talented Rogue (stealth targeting of enemies, locks)
1 anti magic shell talented DK (death grip, offtank?)

Forgot some of the talents but I know the spell/abilites I want.

So my RAF is still active, though I think I leveled my 4 new toons from 1 to 85 before 4.2.
Does the RAF remember all the dings till 80, or only the ones till 60 ?

Leveling one toon from 1 to 80 gave my slave toons 40 level grants, that times 4 makes 160 level grants together. I have linked RAF like (A-B, A-C, A-D, A-E)

If I now make DK on account A, and then have B granting 25 levels to him, that would do 55 to 80 aye?
Then I would move the fresh DK to account E and create a new one on A account, grant levels, move A to D, rinse repeat..

In the end I should have five lvl 80 DKs after 125 level granting and still having 35 free level grants available. Did I get this right?
