Same Computer Professions

So, I discovered this site two days ago, found the idea awesome.
Now I am running 3 accounts off my one computer (1024x768 @ lowest settings on minimized windows) and its running just fine.

My main is a mage, with 2 shamans as backup. I have the keys all mapped and working just fine.

My question is, is there a way to get some indication when a vein or herb pops onto the minimap of one of the minimized players. I would really like to have both herb and mining, but I can only have one screen visible.

Is there a way? If not, what do you recommend?

As far as I know, you can't, if your PC can handle having 2 up at once, you could run the main screen at say 1280x800 or something (cropping the top or bottom of the screen) and run the 2nd one at 800x600 (low as possible to avoid too much loss in framerate) and just place it so that you can see the map above or below your main screen :)

A mod that made the toon /w you or talk in party when something pops up on it's radar would be cool though :)

The Gatherer mod would be your best bet - you can configure it to display previously found herbs & ore veins and have it display on your main's mini-map.

The only catches are:

1. The herb or ore vein has to be 'discovered' first by either yourself, someone in your party, or someone else in your guild who is also running the gatherer mod.

2. If your main doesn't have the profession, and you're not monitoring your other toon's mini map, you'll need to get within visual range to determine if the herb or ore vein is actually there.

Still, once you had a decent gatherer database populated, this would be pretty close to what you're looking for. Gatherer also populates your main map as well, so allows you to plan your route in advance if you are doing a herb /ore run in a particular zone.
