I just started a new team, 3 undead locks on stormrage-US(pve). I have 2 70's alliance side, and some friends who play both so getting money to the account isn't really an issue, however after buying bags and hooking each toon up with 20g starter funds I'm pretty confident money won't be a problem, especially since level 40 mounts are free, and I only need to buy the mats for one 60 mount.

Warlocks seem to melt face better than shaman at the same level, main reason being that they have imps, not to mention they can wand when they run low on mana. Add in dots (already have 3 at level) and they can have 9 dots on most mobs before they reach the group, or blast 2 sets of shadow bolts and 2 sets of firebolts. The imps firebolt does 40-50% of the dps the shadow bolts do. Another advantage of the imps is line of sights not an issue, they turn where they need to, and out of range isn't either as they run mobs down. I'll probably swap to a voidwalker and 2 imps once the void gets ae taunt.

I took herbalism and skinning on my focus, tailoring and enchanting on one clone, and mining on the third. Not sure if I'll take a second trade on the miner, if I do it'll probably be jewelcrafting to make gear for the team. Tailoring has already saved me money from not needing to buy gear, while still upgrading it. Enchanting is just extra icing even though my skills low.

Not sure about every other starting area but tirisfal glades is filled with collection quests, talk about a pain. Still its faster to do them than just grind, so I've been doing all of them I can. I wandered over to durotar to do some kill quests there and then its back over to silverpine before I hit the barrens. Levelings been slow, between adjusting ui's, macros, training 3 at a time tradeskills and 3x collection quests but its fun, so thats all that really matters.

Thanks to everyone here who's provided advice, happy hunting and if you play on stormrage send me a whisper.

Slowly but surely I've made my way up to 12. Still working on macros, key bindings and such. Really disappointed in the lack of kill quests so far, although the scarlet crusade quests are nice. Almost ready to head to silverpine, I can't remember if theres more kills than collects there or not, haven't leveled horde in almost 3 years. Slowly working up my tailoring and enchanting is a real boon to keeping costs down, and also having skinning, mining and herbalism should make mounts at 40 easy. I tryed to buy some wool to make some new gear but at 4g a stack (damn money grubbers) I decided not to. So far I haven't bought any gear, just made what I could and quested the rest.

Hopefully around 15 or so I'll be able to at least try out rfc on my own, using my voids as tanks might make it possible. If not I'll try again at 16 etc. I'll clear the instance one way or another, its just a matter if I can still get exp by the time I finally can pull it off.
