Hi

I have checked the forums and cannot really find a guide how to setup two computers with two accounts in total (dual-boxing). I have one excellent computer to run both on same, but I really hate the split screen function and the other computer is a laptop that can only handle one account at same time.

I want it to work just as on one computer with split screen and using keyclone. But I want one WoW running on each account and a click (hotkey ofc) on my computer is a click on the other.

But if you can point me out to a thread just exactly about this then I would be really happy (what software to use and such).

MACRO QUESTION:

Anyone know a nice dps macro for rogues? Or combination fury warrior/rogue? It's not a problem at all to get both in range to hit the same target (and attack on assist) but I have not figured out a combo that work good for both. I've tried SS+S&D combo, but it would require me to press the same hotkey for warrior to many times, and gimp it's dps to much. Maybe put sinister strike on same hotkey as warrior have overpower, bloodthirst and S%D on whirlwind? And Eviscerate on...execute? Some tips would be awsome. :) Btw, both are level 70 ofc. And I have mage 70 aswell, so if you have any good combo for that instead then pls let me know. :D It's either warrior/rogue or warrior/mage as my warrior got the best dps.

Melee is bad for multiboxers if it's not your main, it breaks follow and follow is pretty much everything for us. Same with channeled spells like arc missles.

Clicks I -think- can be done with Autohotkey and synergy or multibox or one of those other programs, but for the most part passing clicks is complicated if not impossible in most cases; it gives too much functionality that it borders on bottability lol; you'll just have to get used to alt-tabbing or run 1 on laptop/1 on desktop and connect 'em with octopus/synergy or if you're willing to pay $40(for a pre-setup, high-support that's usually worth it), keyclone, 1 license per comp

I have had no problems at all with two melee. Not when using keyclone at least. I use warrior as main and rogue as my alt and every actionkey I have is setup with /follow (name of warrior) /assist (name of warrior) followed by /cast (skillname). The only tricky part is to use mouse movement so you get the rogue behind the target. But it's really only by walking through mob and quick turn around and then start dps. Or charge with warrior (wont break follow in 95% of cases) and turn around quick and the rogue stop within melee distance to mob. Easy as hell.

And about dual-boxing. I don't want to use mouse to use my skills, specially not on both computers at same time. All I want the "alt" secondary computer to do is to copy my keyboard clicks (like keyclone does) and only that. Not even copy my mouse movement. :)

But, if it's possible to make my secondary widnow so small it's not even visible, or close to invisible then I could run it on same computer. What I hate is just the "split window" function. And btw, I have not tried to use keyclone with two WoW accounts open same time, but only one visible. Does that work? Because I really only need one account if I can rely that keyclone still works? Hmm, I'm
pretty sure that keyclone would work with both wow maximised? Damn, I got to try now already, lol.

Keyclone is awesome, especially with the new PIP feature, by allowing you to have a primary (large) window and a secondary (very small) window. I configured a primary window of 1280x1024 and then four extremely small windows for the rest of my group. I don't remember the exact dimensions, as I'm at work right now, but I think they are around 200x300 or something like that. When I am in-game I hit my PIP hotkey to change between instances of wow so that the 1280x1024 swaps places with the smaller one. I also have macros defined in wow that correspond to the PIP hotkey that change my focus target and /follow focus so that whichever window is on 1280x1024 becomes the focus of the other toons. If you haven't tried Keyclone for what you are trying to accomplish, then I'd highly recommend you give it a shot. That application is simply amazing! /cheers Keyclone
