i got a new pc recently and this was happening to me. I had been logging in the game from other places before my PC got here. They said the new place/PC was throwing up a flag. It was a bit of a pain, but i just made a ticket at bnet support and it stooped locking me out. ( it had been locking me anytime i logged more than one account in at a time or back to back )

Thanks =)
...i still dont know why it happened, but i did log into the game from my laptop at the cabin this weekend. I have done this several times in the past tho... the only reason i got from blizz was that it had been unusual activity on my b-net account.

Anyway, im home and i got an e-mail from Blizz that made it possible to make a new pass, and now i have the accounts back! =)

While it can be an annoyance at times, I'd rather Blizz be a little too diligent with account security and such... than say not diligent enough.

It's because you are logging in from an IP that is not your normal one. It has happened to me a few time when I travel for work. It doesn't always happen. It just requires a password reset which is no big deal. Annoying, but better to be safe.

I get this when used to use my French VPN. I now have a UK one.

If it happens a lot, you can contact blizz and they can whitelist your account to stop it from happening.

The only problem is that if you whitelist it, your account won't be locked once a chinese hacker gets a hold of your account. So it's not really a good solution in my eye. I have the same problem, but only if I do one of two things:

1. Log on from work(our corporate connection goes through another EU country).
2. When I log on from my cabin with my mobile internet connection. It seems like it's swapping IPs often since the connection is rather unstable almost seems it does it when ever it changes band(ie. goes from HDSPA to EDGE and back).

So I now carry the first few digits from one of my serials with me at all times so I can just unlock it myself when it happens.

The thing that sucked was that getting an authenticator won't help.

Good to read that it's all sorted. Hacking sucks :)
