Hey guys I figured you would be able to tell me if this was a scam or not. I have a friend that insists he plays WoW all day and just does this and I think he is off his rocker.

I believe its a program that you refer people to try trial products for like netflix. creditreport.com and supposedly each referal that signs up you get $20 and they desposit that into your paypal. They claim its advertising funds that is being used to pay you. I am just not seeing where the scam part is. If only making money was so easy. :D

Sums it up. Since there are loads of chinese farming materials on wow to sell, which hardly pays. I doubt there's a way to easily make money on the interwebz. If there was, it would explode, because everyone wanted to do it: question > demand so price drops to nearly nothing.
That's just my thoughts though and why I don't even start to bother with such stuff.
