3 boxing mages.

so I box 3 mages. I love the insane dps and how fast i down bosses. i have a few issues.

i just did my first heroic while 3 boxing. heroic stonecore. on the first boss i we kept wiping....i dont really see how it was my fault but the tank was saying it was impossible for me to do some encounters......if someone could enlighten me on if 3 boxing is a dumb idea?

Boxing isn't dumb and in theory everything is possible, sometimes your group might need to adapt and it's limited to what you can do as a player/boxer.

If you're wiping because the healer runs oom, you lack dps. So in a way that could be your fault, or the healer could suck/be under geared. Aslong as you do not take excessive damage that could be avoided and you do your dps (and fight specific actions, like killing adds), there shouldn't be much reason to blame you.

Now stonecore specific, it is the toughest heroic instance, so that's not gonna help. Try vortex pinnacle or so, if you clear that, that's a good start. Because all dps comes from you, you still have a big role in the group and healers running oom is a very real thing to happen if they don't overgear the HC.

I have no idea how to avoid this unless i just run around arcane barraging the whole time. its a very consistant attack for the mob. Most dungeons in wow require you to move fast. I move just fine. its my 2 mgaes behind me that get hit...what should i do to negate this? keep in mine i do have formations setup and all of that. I just dont want every fight that i do as a boxer to be a long complicated thing. I just want to have fun like i was doing leveling. i would tear through dungeons fast as hell.

You need to strafe to avoid AoE. Don't run while your slaves have to follow you. Personally I got strafe bound to Shift A and Shift D, works wonders. I use Q and E for binds for spells. And Ctrl A and ctrl D are bound to turning to left/right.

Corborus really shouldn't be the problem, your tank was the problem :)
I've downed Corborus in 12 seconds @ 220370.3 dps (in heroic ofc) on 5 epic-geared mages.

For things like spray poison, use repeater. Have your mages stand around same spot while dpsing, then when you get green stuff on you, just strafe left or right away from it and your all toons will do the same with repeater.
