This is why I roll full on hardware. Sure, Blizzard is accepting "software" solutions to multiboxing right now, but it would be really easy for them to change that decesion. Especailly will all the QQers on the forum.
Hmm I don't see why they would really, the only thing that would cause is to make it even more of a "rich" persons hobby. making all the QQers QQ even more :P just out of curiosity could you potentially have a keyboard simulate having 5 inputs into one PC? (through hardware not software) and each linked to one wow window.. would be a cheap way of not buying another 4 pcs :P
at first I was a little vary of using keyclone as I did think of it as 3rd party software.. but then again, comparing it to using multiple pcs or some other hardware input it is essentially the same, so if one goes they all go? not 100% on this but seems logical to me
PS: could i recommend the "report" button be moved a little further from the "quote" one? or am I the only one with flailing fingers?

Same here. Plus, I like to shove it down people's throat when they try to claim that all multiboxers use the "keyclone bot". As if saying it's a bot makes it a bot.
Responding with "Keyclone? Never used it" shuts them up pretty quick.
Yeah that kinda worries me. Iv put some good money into MB'ing on one computer and i REALLY hope i dont get banned lol.

:P nah they are expensive, so you can easely make some cheaper ones :)
I was just driving to the shops and thought of a way to explain why it isn't 3rd party software :P
imo if you look at it from a single WoW windows point of view, keyclone doesn't modify any aspect of the input at all. I still recieves an imput from one source and that source is player controlled, thus unmodified.
the doo not pass list can be bypassed simply be leaving those you do not wish to be used from the keybindings in WoW, thus there is no feature that gives a keycloner an advantage over any other player..

The reason they say that about 3rdparty software is they only read as far as they need to to get ammo. The EULA states "Use of any third-party software (TO AUTOMATE INGAME FUNCTIONS WITHOUT PLAYER INPUT) is illegal." Note the part in parenthesis most of them ignore/leave out. Third Party Software is only illegal if it automates actions without constant input per-action.
Argue "Well listening to the Final Countdown/FF6 Boss Battle Music/insert whatever your WINMUSICLOLZ is here makes me play better, should we ban the ability to run music while playing since it's third-party programs and makes me play better? How about Teamspeak/Vent making raids coordinate better? They're third-party software that gives them an edge both in raids and in battlegrounds vs you pug noobs who couldn't coordinate your way out of a wet paper bag. Hey there's also wowhead/thottbot/wowwiki/bosskillers/any other wow site, which can be opened through OMG THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE CALLED IE/FIREFOX to "cheat" at quests and see the answer without figuring it out yourself!" - That last one in particular will catch ALL of them, anyone who bitches about boxers is a lazy fuck who's never read ONE GODDAMN PIECE OF QUEST TEXT and either "cheats" through thott/wowhead/questmod or asking a billion fucking times in general, "WERE IS MANKRIKS WIFE? I don't know of any "1 PC Hardware only" solution.
I can play 5 characters on my computer without using any third party. Not my preferred method, but I can work it. I did it with 3 for a long time before finding this site. Just click on the window you want, press hotkey, go to next window, repeat.

Okay, so a bunch of us met our first "multi-boxer" last night in a BG - a guy from Scilla who has 4 or 5 locks linked.
So if I understand this correctly, pressing one button on his keyboard with 20 dots landing on you instantly is somehow not inviolation of the EULA? How interesting that Blizzard would encourage an exploit that necessitates you buying 5 separate accounts. No wonder this is condoned. ...lots of "NO U" and "UR MOM" level posts...
Some level 3 rogue scrub said:
IF people can prove they can play using 5 different comps, using 5 different keyboards and 5 different mice, then go for it, but as long as you are using a 3rd party piece of hardware or software to control multi characters with 1 input its no different than a bot. ...more "NO U" and "UR MOM" posts...
Kurraga from Silvermoon said:

we all know that multi-boxing passes under the radar simply because that's 5 times more income. I care not what any official statement says. It's lame as botting.
Level 3 scrub (Roguetastic; same guy that's been talking out his ass on every other multiboxing thread I've read lately) said:
Sending input to 1 app != sending 1 input to 5 apps.
If your sending 5 inputs to 5 apps thats one thing. But sending 1 input to 5 apps is no different than botting.

Ald from The Scryers:
Wrong. Warlocks can somehow drop 4 dots on you in an instant. It happens to me quite often. There is no delay between the debuffs appearing on me; they all appear at once. Maybe one of these days I'll roll a warlock and try to figure out how it's done.
are these forums only composed of people who just 'make stuff up' or what?
its not 4 DOTs at once...it is you not paying attention to the GCD.
Ald, the scrub from The Scryers says:
How does my attention to GCD affect how a lock can throw 4 dots on me at once? The 4 debuffs do not appear one second apart each. They all 4 appear on my screen at once. That tends to be my warning that a lock has spotted me. I have asked about this in the forums before, since I thought GCD should apply, but many responses told me it is certainly possible for a lock to do this.
Dude... /wrists

Q u o t e:
I had a multi-boxer in an AB once, needless to say we lost horribly.
And THAT is the problem. The multi-boxer angers his team, and angers the players he ganks because they have zero chance against him. Basically, no one (except maybe the multi-boxer who is getting honor/marks for 5 chars at once even if he loses) enjoys it. Isn't that exactly the kind of thing that should be removed from the game? That's all for now. :P

rofl @ the ones about the $250 bet..."If I haven't clicked you haven't shown it to me NEENER NEENER BOO BOO" - That is the reaction of the same guy who bitches about boxers. If he reacts to facts and video proof like that, I think it's safe to say he's reacting similarly to boxing; it's a perfectly legit thing, he just sticks his fingers in his ears and goes "LALALALALA I CANT HEAR U LOLZ I WIN NO TAKEBACKS HURR HRR HURR I R SMART LALALALA"
And ty Don, was a good read ;p

The group simon quest is amazing. If you have any buddies, make them stand next to you when you do it, so they get free daily quest credit without spending the shards. I think it works for horde, too cuz they always watch when I do it, and help me out on the boss at the end after. Makes me nervous that they're gonna be jerks and attack me in the middle of my memory game. >.<

So other people can get credit even if they aren't in your group? It would be nice to call in any hordies as extra bodyguards in exchange for the quest completion. For all the simon dailies done, only 1 warrior had the guts to jump my group and it was while the elite was spawned. It took a total of 1 GCD to send him running for his life.

Correct. They just have to be in proximity when you complete the final set of the simon says game. They don't have to kill the elite.
One warning -- Suvega would announce when he's doing the simon says quest so that other allies could get the credit, and he found a jerk who would purposely click the wrong simon says button to make him lose the game and his 35 shards. The jerk was reported, but it's still annoying.

just a quick response to the 'third party' debate on page 1
I use a logitech MX laser mouse and have Logitech Setpoint running 24/7 - utility that enables me to put keybinds on my mouse buttons.
I see no difference between what this does and keyclone - it runs in the background and 'translates' a button press into 'something else'
I dont use a G15 keyboard , but the MT in my old raid guild did - he was cheating more than my keyclone

G15's and n52's are not cheating devices by dfault either, and probably shouldn't put them in the context you did there. I'm sure we all know they only enter the realm of cheating once you start using timing delays and multiple key presses in a macro triggered by one keypress...if you just remap macro's assigned to a keymap like ctrl+shift+e (my evocation bongo key for instance) to a G-key/X-Key/n52-key then there is nothing wrong with it.
That does raise a point though, since my positioning macro is ctrl+alt+m and is assigned to my n52, but to get it to work correctly I have to put a delay in to it before the key-up commands so while it's doing nothing that wouldn't be done by me holding down a movement key on the keyboard and then releasing it, it still has a delay in it which has been one of the causes for concern from blizz so it's a fine line in definitions.

People tell me all the time, or simple PM me and go 'keyclone'. HEAPS of people tell me they've tried it out but didn't like levelling 2,3,4 characters at once and couldn't be bothered.
They all love seeing me around though. I find I either have haters or fans, only a very small few are uncaring either way.
Lately heaps of people have been (the abusive ones) tellnig me I must be using wowboxtoolkit. Whats that? I had a look in our software section and we dont seem to have links to anything called that. I too love my full hardware setup, but more because it was a fun project to setup and gave me a great feeling of accomplishment once I had finished it. I'm sure plenty of the software boxers felt the same after tweaking everything they have to consider as well. :)
Seems like there might be a number of Blizzard employees multiboxing, quite cool to see.

Isn't that the url that the annoying level 1 spambots are shouting all the time? Something to do with hacking so that you have whatever stats you want and whatever gear you want, which PROBABLY just leads to a phishing site?
I remember something named wow-*something*-toolkit being spammed by random level 1 dwarf bots running around in IF.
