With four controllers the RevoDrive 3 X2 is good for up to 1.5GB/s reads and 1.2GB/s writes. OCZ is quoting up to 200,000 4KB random write IOPS. Again all of these figures are using highly compressible data. Just like the base RevoDrive 3, TRIM/SMART reporting are now supported on the x2.


Keep in mind that the 4KB random spec is the only one we need to know about as thats what wow does (in fact wow does a lot of small under 256 BYTES reads for textures). You see that the max of 1.2GB/s drops to a ton with writes as it will do with reads.

It will still be 20X or more faster then the same test on a pair of raid0 velociraptors but .....

And again I havn't figured in my mind if we gain anything with a data access time less then our ping. .....
