Cata Dungeons with PvP DK Group

I have not done any Heroics since February.

When I did them, it was with my x4 Shaman and Paladin group.

Since then I leveled x4 DK + Priest group and geared them for PvP. They have 4/5 Vicious + weapon, relic, and Bloodthirsty everything else.

I've been trying to do heroics with this group - but failing pretty hard. I've tried 1 Blood x3 Frost or x4 Blood.

My main issue is the DKs simply take too much damage overall. My priest can't keep up with the AoE damage (I"ve tried Disc and Holy Specs). My priest will OOM or simply will not heal fast enough to keep everyone alive.

My shaman group, by contract, takes little damage. Since they are casters it is easy to spread them out and avoid most of the AoE damage.


For example, Lord Walden on Shadowfang keep is faceroll. My DKs, however, take a ton of damage from that Ice shards.

I've been swapping my priest out for my Paladin and Shaman healer.

Based on my experience Paladin > Shaman > Priest, even though my priest has the best gear.

I took another stab at lord Walden, but this time with my under geared paladin.

I was able to one shot him.

My paladin setup is exactly like Mosq2 did in his manifesto. Perhaps I simply am terribly at my priest - but I've setup it up and tuned it based on all the guides / feedback here. I'm also read the elitist jerks guides several times.

Paladin is just easier to play and box IMHO.

Ye. its my first time using pala as healer.. and its awesome.. very easy.
