More hope for hunter group

Was wondering if it would be possible for my Hunters to tank Cata heroics eventually.. I'm running 4 of them with a Holy priest.. came across this vid of a Hunter tanking Argaloth.. it's given me hope :)

Ive done The Stonecore, Vortex Pinnacle and the first boss in The Lost City og Tol'Vir on normal mode with 5 hunters, so yes. I so believe hunters can tank heroics! Just stack stamina gems on your hunter tank and get the 2 set tier 5 bonus on your hunter :)

I think the guy is using pvp gear not sure.. can't believe a hunter pet can tank a raid boss for level 85's.

Atm I'm using 2 of the hunter's in BM spec both with tank pets, Gorilla and a bear, I tried Turtle but when it goes into it's shell to have the 50% damage reduction I found it lost aggro. Was wondering about a Joramungar for the Nexus.. and also considered a Rhino, but I guess the horn toss they do could land me in a heap of trouble lol

Just use MD in your rotation, should hold aggro :) atleast it did for me!

It looks like they are gimmicking the fight here. Only the pet is on one side while tanking, so only the pet gets hit with meteor slash. I'm not even sure meteor slash hits pets, but if it did it's at a 90% reduced rate since it's AoE. The raid is only taking damage from the DoT and fel fire. All heals are focused on the pet. You don't really need to bring any tanks. A group could bring 8 dps and 2 heals and be perfectly fine. It's actually a really smart way to do this fight. It eliminates and simplifies a lot of the fight mechanics.

We bring 1 tank 7dps and 2 healers for BH. Make one of the DPS or Heals taunt a slash for that side, but this is hilarious I want to try it out.

If i'm not mistaken, Durante+Bubbles tanked Gruul back in the BC days.. so the guy definitely knows what he's doing.

Can misdirection be written in a macro rotation so it only is executed when possible, and not cause the macro to fail if e.g. pet is dead?

The only one of my team that gets aggro is my Priest.. but I have talented improved fade & glyphed and it does the trick.. I'm also a nelf so have shadowmeld as backup
