Alright well today is my first time I guess Multi-Screening with Key Clone and it seems like im leveling really slow. Im doing 2 Mages and its taking forever. Im doing the quests and I think thats whats really slowing me down. Is Key Clone used to do more of grinding or to actually do Quest and what not? Just seems slower than just leveling by yourself.
Anything helps i'm probably just doing something wrong.

I 5 boxed from 1 to 70 and did quests for the XP. It seemed pretty fast to me, other than collection quests. It seems like grinding (not questing) would be much more boring and slow.

I think theres some kinda difference when you have at least 3 people in a party you get XP bonus but I beleive just 2 it splits XP for kills in half.
I dual box as well, up to lvl 20 was a pain, the new changes for XP from 20-60 is a huge difference tho.
if you dont wanna skip around too much, take a few pickup quests but try to do ones that may have grind quests for those mobs as well, etc.
in game addons for quests help as well.

just gonna throw the "use the search function" statement in before 3 other people do.
but anyhoo to answer ur question, leveling more than 1 character at a time will ALWAYS be slower than leveling 1 by itself. whatever xp u get from kills is split 2 ways, 3 ways, or however many ways depending on how many characters ur doing. however, if u have 3 or more grouped together, you get a slight bit of "group xp" which is nice, but it isn't enough to make up for that xp-split.
so basically, just strap in, hold on tight........and get ready for a slow walk to 70 =D
edit: also if u can, avoid collection quests. especially if u are doing 3 or more characters, collection quests can be hell. that might speed up your leveling a bit.

It's a hell of a lot faster to level multiple toons via multiboxing than individually.
Example:
Pure solo = 12 days /played at 70
Group of 5 = 17 days /played at 70
Pure solo x5 = 60 days /played altogether.

If it helps any, I cleared every quest sans a few pain in the ass collections, and ran every non-horde instance at least once, and my twin druids have 6days, 12hours /played each at lv63.5, and that's with spending 30-60mins every night post-playing dancing in IF or Shatt before I log off. It simply comes down to knowing the game and using every quest at your disposal + rested exp built up during the day while yer at work ;p
Though to be fair, I had my 70 pretty much 1shotting things pre-30 and aoeing a bit, then all 3 dpsing post-30 to oneshot most other things.

Been asked like 74 other times. Nuff said. Use the search tool. It can come in handy

already mentioned that diamond :P
also, when i said it takes longer to level 5 compared to 1, i meant the time for that particular run. ie, if ur racing someone and leveling 5 characters while he's leveling 1, his 1 will beat u to 70.

Questing is generally slow until about level 20, this is because many of the quests are collections and have level requirements that are intended to be reached by solo play. There are also a great deal of collection quests early on and your somewhat constrained to your starting zone of choice. After 20 you get more choices, for example you can finish all dual-boxing friendly quests in Ashenvale, Hillsbrad, Ghostlands and stonetaleon if needed.
I'm sure you'll find a lot more info in other similar threads.
