RAF account leveling slower than main account.

I have two characters, one on my account, and one a RAF account (started as trial, but now converted into a normal account).

They have never played except as a group. Every kill, every quest, everything has been together.

One is level 21 and the other is level 23.

Anyone know why one has so much more xp than the other? It's the RAF that is behind so i cant catch up by granting levels.

The main account does have some heirloom gear, but my understanding is that the 300% xp bonus is the cap and heirloom gear xp bonus is ignored.

It is not ignored as far as I know and would most likely be the reason for the gap in levels. Your combat log
shows how much XP you get and breaks it down though I'm not sure if it breaks down heirloom gains into a
separate category.

I believe the easiest and quickest check for this would be when you're about to turn in a quest... are both
dialogue windows reporting the same turn in XP? If not, heirlooms are working with RaF.

is your main a miner or herbalist maybe?
you get good xp from gathering.

i had that problem on my team at some point, so i just played the main without shoulders for a little while, to let the others catch up.
Also, if your RAF dies during a fight, he won't get xp. This could also lead to differences if you tend to let him die alot ;)

Confirmed - Heirloom Gear exp and RAF bonuses are seperate.

Either remove the heirloom gear, or alternate it with your slave account.

Im currently doing (5) fresh pallies all with one piece of heirloom gear. (1) client, I had forgotten to equip the back piece. He was noticably falling behind. Quick equip, and some solo grinding, and im back on the same leveling path.

Ya'll are correct. I guess the 300% cap is only for rested XP.

Thankfully this is not a long term pair so the level gap isn't a problem as long as it doesn't become to extreme for the 300%.

I have BOA's on the second account now :)

Dying also fucks up the exp sync.
