Welcome to the Wiki Pages to Delete thread.
Use the below example to have the Wiki Admin delete a page within the Wiki.
Example:
1. URL - http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/TEST
2. Forum Thread (if applicable) - http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?pages=Thread&threadID=1
3. Reason - Oops, made a test page by mistake and can't delete it.

both deleted
I suggest to delete http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/World_of_Warcraft_Atlas and all sub-items or related items. They are handy but not related to multiboxing and don't contain much info.
All of that info can be found at wowwiki.com which is already extensively linked to from the wiki pages.
[edit] If you delete it: don't forget to clean up the link to this page at http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

Ah but I have big plans for this section... People are already populating the wiki with zones and instances etc and details on where is good for multibox grinding and questing etc...
ok so it has slowed down a little but that is due to the namespace issue and not wanting to potentially have to migrate to the namespaces.
Ah, then I understand.
Could you put an descriptive introduction at http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/World_of_Warcraft_Atlas then? (to explain what should go there).
I think it's important to keep it strictly multibox-specific and refer to wowwiki for all the rest.

how's that?
how's that?
Because writing duplicate information is time-consuming and useless. It's better to refer to a more accurate and complete source of information that will be maintained by others.
Instead, it's better to put our efforts in making the multiboxing wiki pages more board in such a way that it is better applicable for non-WoW players.
At least, that's my opinion.
This is the reason that i'm planning to do a rewrite of http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Getting_started and write a more brief (less-technical) explanation that links constantly to the existing pages that we've got. At this moment it's a loose component, while it actually should be more of a beginners portal. eg. It shouldn't have its own hardware section as broad as we alreaady have a hardware page. You don't want duplicate (and possibly contradictory) information.
On another note: it would be a good thing to rewrite the frontpage so it provides a better overview (with less scrolling needed). The front page needs a few simple categories where people will *know* where to click to get something from. Maybe i should open another thread for that?

agreed! ;)
Ken, feel free to modify etc as you will, just please don't orphan any pages... if people don't like changes and a reversion war starts, well we can resolve that if it happens :)
BTW have a cookie for so many updates on the Wiki... and another for a.g. :)

Thanks. I won't just orphan any pages, unless they are direct copy-pasts that aren't even evaluated before posting (like the copy pasting of forum pages). The only thing I did with about 3 or 4 of pages was removing them from the front page and linking them in the introduction sections of the main pages where they belong too. There's too much on the front page and I'll think about a better system for it (and then post it here first).
I absolutely want to avoid reversion wars, that's why I'm posting so much here :P
[edit] Yeay, a cookie! :9
I hope you like the new wiki frontpage (http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page). It's now more in wiki style like Wikimedia.org (http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Home).
I still have to make the WoW section smaller though, so there is an even better overview.
I don't want to remove the page http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Rigs
....but I'm asking if I can delete the content as it is meant for hardware rigs.
The current info that is on it is more something for http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Who_%26_Where_Wiki
The current content isn't really useful, because it doesn't say much. If people want, they can add more complete info to the Who and Where Wiki link above.
I would make the Rigs page an overview of who has what kind of hardware to play what kind of game (and how many instances of the game).
Rigs is linked from http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Hardware so that would make more sense.

sounds sensible
This page came to my attention because someone editted it today:
http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Sticky:Useful_Multiboxing_Macros
I think we should remove it because:
- it holds almost no extra information compared to http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Macros
- it is not properly formatted and thus mostly unreadable
It's pitty for Jafula who tried to make it more structured, but the result in the end isn't worth keeping the page in my opinion.
[edit] Jafula improved the page further, so it's not as bad as before.
Then again: is it worth copying the stickies? Isn't it better to update the regular wiki pages (and/or create new ones)?
sounds sensible
