Well i started last weekend on my Goblin shaman and its been a pretty fun run.

What I'm running into is that I have no clue what zones/instances I should be going to now that the world has changed.

I'm currently level 39. I've done Razorfen and Scarlet Monastary and I must say the new quests inside the instances give some nice leveling gear. I'd like to do more of these and some zone quests.... but i had a horrible time in Desolace with the 6000 collection quests.

Any experience you can share on good kill quest zones or which zones to avoid would be great.

Thanks,

Maat

Here is something for the instances: http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=33219

I usually level ONLY in instances or BGs, so can't really recommend any zone to quest in.

WoWWiki has a zone guide (http://www.wowwiki.com/Zone) that shows where you can go as you level. I've only done leveling through a few zones but in general it's the usual mix of quest types wherever you go. I get the impression that a pretty good number of the collection quests have a very high drop rate (75-100%), which makes sense with the smaller leveling curve.

Personally I think that the old world leveling has taken the best of the original game (lots of small hubs with few or no pre-requisites) and the expansions (bunched quests that can be completed simultaneously or in quick succession). You travel from quest hub to quest hub, complete quests in bunches of 2-5 until you are done, then move on. Because there are so many hubs and so many quests, you can skip a lot of the stuff that looks tedious or that you don't want to do and still have more than enough content for leveling quickly.

Yeah, I actually kinda got excited when i saw the instances levels. I'll be doing those for a while cause i'm loving the quest gear.

Uhm, if you want to know where to quest at your level, have a look at any Warchief's Command Board (that's the horde version)? It will send you to whatever zones is best for your level.
