Hi all,

Hope 1 of you can help me out.

I have a 5 man group, 1 Pally tank, 3 hunters, 1 resto shammy.
My monitor/screen setup = 2 monitors,
Left monitor = main screen (Pally tank)
Right monitor = 4 split screen. (rest of group, duh :))

Is it possible to see the hunters "KILL SHOT" annoucement on the main (Pally) monitor?
Right now in heavy Boss Battles I have to peek reguarly to my other screen for the KILL SHOT text.
I have tried it with Jamba proc, but I guess it's not a proc :) so is there another way or add-on for this?

Thanks in advance

MC

I have no idea which software you're using, but if you're using ISBoxer you can setup a video feed to show that
portion of your Hunter's screen on your main screen.

I use ISboxer and Jamba, but no knowledge about Video feed. :) So that's why I never tried it.
But I will give it a go, and will report back if I succeeded.

Hit Ctrl shift alt g on the hunter screen.

Click the Video feed Tab. Make him the Source.
Load and then place it over where your kill shot pop up is displayed.
give it a name - hunterpop or something
Save as Auto so it comes up when wow is opened.

hit Ctrl shift alt g to close.

Go to the tank screen and hit Ctrl shift alt g to re-open.

Click the video feed tab and select viewer.
select hunterpop or whatever you named it. load and move to where you would like it on tank screen.

hit ctrl shift alt g to close.

:( I don't get it to work I did everything you wrote but with no success.

Go to Hunter screen,
add source
Windowed the "Kill Shot" zone
Save on autosave

Go to Main screen
add viewer
Gave the same name as the "Kill shot" zone
But no success.

With the click trough option you see a sort of faded square.
But now with the Video feeds I don't see nothing faded or something like that.

I think I will go to the ISboxer side for more info.

Thanks anyway.

Could try asking on the IS Boxer IRC.
Or on the IS Boxer forums.

I did not see an IS Boxer tag, so am not sure if Lax will find this thread.

If you do get a solution, posting what you did here would be beneficial for anyone in the future who might be searching for a solution.

Firstly, I'm not familiar with isboxer, but generally this is what I'd do:

Since you can only use killshot when the target is below 20% HP, there is no downside of spamming it. Set up a multiple keypress button, so when you press a button more than one keypress is actually transmitted. Preferably use one of your most commonly used DPS button. Just make sure if the keypresses are executed in an order that they Killshot binding gets executed first.

If this is something you'd not like to do, or you can't do it.

Alternatively you could use some kind of scrolling combat text addon. For example msbt (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/mik-scrolling-battle-text.aspx). This addon is highly configurable, so you can set up killshot to show up when you can use it. The default Kill Shot trigger will only work on your hunters, but looking at how it is set up you can replicate the trigger events for your paladin. (Altough for paladins you have Hammer of Wrath set up by default which I think uses the same triggers as Kill Shot)

I was just messing with this yesterday on my Hunters for Kill Shot and my Dest Locks for Shadowburn. Both are only active when the target has less than 20% health. I was amazed to find that you can simply add them into your normal macros and they don't hang them.

I then went in to 5-box BH for the 8th time this week (I may have too many toons) and noticed that I was using a lock with the new macro. I checked recount and sure enough, not only did the lock do good DPS, but he had cast Shadowburn three times as well. I updated the lock macros in my 2-step thread here:

I haven't updated the macros on the hunter portion of that page yet, nor did I have the chance to test them out on a mob with less than 20% health, but I'm pretty sure you can use the same philosophy on your hunter (add /cast Kill Shot to the bottom of your macro) and it should work just as well. No video feed, no special clicking, just uses it when it is up... sweetness!

Well that sound to good to be true :), but I will give it a go. But now video feeds (or Video FX nowadays) is working good too :)
I have 2 options now, I will let you know what's the best for me.

Thanks for the tip!

its easier to put it in a macro but less reliable than manually pressing.
