Anyone that can point me to some literature or give me some feed back on this? The only articles i can find are from 2006 and I know there have been huge tech leaps since then. Any feedback/articles that I could read would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what you're trying to find, but it comes down to a few basic ideas:
DVI is a pure digital signal, while VGA is analog. Therefore DVI is usually preferable, since it results in a sharper/cleaner image.
LCD technology has matured to the point where there is very little (if any) reason to use a CRT. Refresh/timing rates on LCDs are now fast enough that it's very rare to get any sort of blur now.
If you have more specific questions, feel free to ask here.

If you buy an LCD make sure to stay away from TN panels. They are terrible when it comes to viewing angles. They also do not display full color.
Dell 2007WFP and the 2407WFP or new 24inch Ultrasharp all use good panels. I made the mistake of buying a 2208 Ultrasharp thats made with a TN panel and it was horrible. Blue changed to purple and white changed to pink if you moved your head slightly off center. Usually any LCD that says refresh is 5ms or below is a TN panel. Stay away from them and invest in a good display. Most 24+inch LCD's have good panels. You wont find a non TN 22inch panel. There are a few but they cost a ton. The 2007WFP works great as side portrait screens. Dell had them on sale last week in the $300's. The good panel cost more than the crappy TN's so thats why a 20inch LCD is more than a cheapo 24inch.
