Just curious what you all use as the final tanking build for your 70 pallies. Mostly curious about how many talents and which talents you picked up in ret/holy. I am thinking of something like this:

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sVmZVhpIbhzxgotVc

but could definitely use some help deciding. It doesnt look like im missing anything essential but i could be wrong, hehe.

My 5box group is currently lvl 48.

If anyone already has a 70 tankadin specced for 5-box tanking, armories are always welcome =D

otherwise i welcome any speculation from those of us not quite 70 yet ^_^

Imp Judgement is a huge amount of threat.

Ardent defender doesn't look good for hard hitting boss fights, but from a multiboxer perspective (4 ele shammies - dps, no dedicated healer while leveling) it saved my BUTT many times.

Imp HoJ is unnecessary, unless you think you're going to PvP as prot.

Reckoning gets worse as your gear gets better -- the less you get hit (i.e. the more you mitigate), the less it procs. It's OK threat, but you shouldn't be having threat problems. Pally weakness = mitigation, not threat. I take zero points in reckoning and I still do fine aoe powerleveling lowbies, aoe grinding the guys in Shadowmoon, etc.

Precision is a matter of opinion. Are your shammies totem of wrath specced? Do you REALLY need to hit something to generate threat, or do things hitting YOU generate threat? Paladins can go AFK and still hold aggro due to their reflective holy damage. I chose not to take it - draenei racial plus option to go TOW spec made it lackluster. Anticipation makes it easier to reach uncrittable/uncrushable, particularly in poor gear or when doing resist fights.

Divine Intellect is completely useless for prot pallies -- your mana comes from heals, not Int. You won't have much Int to start out with, so it gives you very little return per point, and using it to get to imp SoR is a waste of 5 talent points.

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-talents.xml?r=Archimonde&n=Velath -- you can swap imp SotC for Precision (or even reckoning) if you feel like it. :) This build maximizes mitigation.

http://maintankadin.failsafedesign.com is also a great prot pally resource.

You need to pick up points in deflection (+5% parry) in the retribution tree

Sacred Duty (+6% stam) helps as well.

What some/most raiding paladins would do is to drop the holy tree (sadly), and max the +defence and +armor talents as well. Improved judgement is highly recommended too.

that's one talent build
you may choose to skip ardent defender , but I think itll be pretty useful , esp/even for multiboxers. alternatively skip spellwarding for reckoning if you want.

My personal choice: my tankadin's build ('http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/paladin/talents.html?0000000000000000000005305133520001005 215510503500100000000000000')

Until I re-spec for the eleventy-thirteenth time of course!

I use the same spec as Vyndree. Imp judgement and deflection are huge.
