-3 Boxing
-3 Mages
-Synergy (but I do like to try them all out, broadcasting keystrokes doesn't work too well for me due to not playing that style for almost a year, I feel like I have less control over my characters, an analogy would be a stick shift to automatic, anything higher than 3 Boxing without broadcasting keystrokes is unrealistic as well)
-/follow macro and /assist macro are the key ingredients.

I use the focus target to determine who my paladin shall follow. That way I don't need to be party leader to have her follow me or I can just switch her follow target on the fly depending on the situation.
[code:1]/focus target[/code:1]

Second macro obviously is the follow macro.
[code:1]/follow focus[/code:1]

The third macro I also used from the start, because I wanted the paladin to also do damage. Once I got the positioning down, I respecced her to 17 Retribution and the rest towards holy. Basically the paladin assists the shaman, casts Seal of Crusader and on a second press attacks the target.
The last line is NOT necessary, because if you have her on follow anyways, she will be facing the right way most of the time. BUT if you fight to mobs and after killing the first one, her positioning is off, this will make her attack the second one AND face in your direction. Also, she will only be on follow until she scores the first hit on the mob.
[code:1]/Assist focus
/Castsequence reset=20 Seal of the Crusader(Rank x), attack, attack, attack, attack
/follow focus[/code:1]

This one is no biggy either, but most of the quests can be shared, so you just have to get them with your main character and quickshare them with all your party. As soon as the quest screen pops up on the other chars, hit the hotkey for this macro and you've accepted the quest.
[code:1]/script AcceptQuest()[/code:1]

These now are very situational, but you'll get the idea of how to gain efficiency out of macros. Right now, I am not using those anymore, because I have become faster, but they really help a lot.
[code:1]/assist focus
/cast Hammer of Justice(Rank 2)[/code:1]

[code:1]/stopcasting
/cast [target=focus] Blessing of Protection(Rank 2)[/code:1]

[code:1]/stopcasting
/cast [target=focus] Lay on Hands(Rank 1)[/code:1]

PS: Once I get my twins to level 60/70 and my exams are done, I will write up a couple of guides for this page. :)

How many boxes?
2(soon to be 3)

What classes are you currently leveling?
warlock, priest(soon to be another priest)

What software are you using?
Micah's Multibox...I was alt+tabbing before that.

Any fantastic macro's you want to share?
No, I am unfortunately very boring in my macros. I just create 1 kill sequence macro for each box. The casting sequence usually matches up the casting time of spells for both toons to be more efficient.

2 laptops pc, 1gig ram. decent speed 3d card.

Pre-BC 60 Warrior/Priest, Joined a raiding guild and lied that I was 2 people. Raided Onyxia both tank and healer. Killed Ragnoros in MC and got up to 4th Boss in BWL. Was really shocked no one suspected me of 2 boxing, but the encounters in BWL was really hard to 2 box and keep up on heal and damage meters. I'm usually top 4 in healing and top 10 in dps when I'm not tanking.

Quit the game for about 8 months.

After BC, started new as Bloodelves, Warlock and Paladin. not much achievement other then leveling and instancing so far.

I use n52 pad for the left hand laptop and MX1000 mouse (10 buttons) for right hand laptop. Play with single hand on each box, except while typing.

With the N52, the macros with timers should be enough for grinding. It's enough to compensate the lack of both hands (for me).

And playing mouse only on my right hand, I use and addon called Clique. It makes click casting easier and more macro friendly.

BTW this is a nice forum, didn't know other people did the same as me, or similar.

OK, well I can answer this question now. I'm sure this is probably something a lot of you may already know about but I'll post it anyway.

This is really a macro that helps anyone with a healer and up to 3 other boxes(or pets).

cast [modifier:shift, target=player1]renew; [modifier:alt, target=player2]renew; [modifier:ctrl, target=player3]renew; [target=player4]renew

What this will do is make it so you don't have to specifically target anyone in your party to heal them.

Let's say your hotkey for renew is 5. If you click alt+5 then a certain toon gets renewed.

If you click ctrl+5 then a certain toon gets renewed.

If you click shift+5 then a certain toon gets renewed.

If you just click 5 then a certain toon gets renewed.

This is also nice because since you never have to target the toon, the healer will never lose their current target(if they are helping attack a mob).

Of course, you can substitute any spell for renew to be cast. The shift and ctrl modifiers are tricky though. Make sure they are not bound to anything already. Also, shift needs to be enabled as a modifier(you can find out how to do this on the WoW UI and macros official forum in one of the stickies I believe)

I've just recently started dual-boxing with the release of TBC and have been having a ton of fun with it since finding this site and MultiBox.

I'm running two boxes at once, levelling my warlock and hunter. The only special software I'm using is MultiBox, thought I, too, am using a Nostromo n52 gamepad.

I've spend most of my time trying to synch main combat button presses between my two characters. When I first start the group with my warlock as the main, I set my hunter's focus to the warlock and set him to follow. I've unbound the movement keys on my hunter so I can keep keyboard broadcasting active most of the time and that's helped a lot in combat. My typical sequence is:
[code:1]
Button 1: warlock: activate trinket for damage boost (otherwise I hardly use it)
hunter: macro : /target focustarget; cast Hunter's Mark.

Shift-1: sends both pets to attack target.

Button 2: warlock: cast shadowbolt
hunter: macro: /castsequence reset=6 Arcane Shot,Steady Shot,Steady Shot,Steady Shot;

Button 3: warlock: cast curse of agony
hunter: cast serpent sting

Button 4: warlock: cast corruption
hunter: cast rapid fire

Button 5: warlock: cast drain life
hunter: cast Multi-shot
[/code:1]

In typical fights I mostly just use 1,shift-1,2,2 and by then any single non-elite target is dead. I typically run with the warlock's Felguard out as "tank" and the hunters' full-BM enhanced Ravager set for DPS. I'm getting better at fighting multiple targets at the same time, but if I forget to sat the hunter's pet to autocast Growl, the hunter pulls aggro and something gets close I usually have to take care of it with the warlock.

Can you set up macros to target the raid icons ie. Skull, square, moon...? Never thought to look for this befor now.

Just tested it, with the newest version you still can. But i did not test if you need to be in a raid, but assign them you can.

You can assign raid markers through scripts/macros but you can't target something based solely on it's raid marker. That is, you can't "targetdiamond" or anything like that.

You're right, I read the question wrong :)
