I think it's a blacklist/firewall at the server level, not client, and after they added youtube and my guild site to the blacklist I'm not gonna push my luck any more than I need to to stay sane at work, which is these forums + steam forums(Since Steam is one of our clients they're not blacklisted lol)

Is Websense something like Bess or SmartFilter? Cause i might be able to help you get passed it :pWebsense is a filter that sits between the proxy server and the external firewall, if configured correctly it will be the only route out for all HTTP traffic on the network, there is no way around it unless you have another route out onto the internet.

Of course if you control the proxy server, firewall or the groups that are used to manage them then you can get around it.

No because this pretty much catches everything as it's sent out and checks before letting you through ;p Try a proxy and it'll still have to leave through websense, and in work situations depending on how closely they watch you(which is a lil above average, but not like a hawk in my case), better not to take chances and keep it lowkey ;p
