I just discovered this community recently and am looking forward to becoming a more active member... Up until these screenshots, I was using my laptop via VoiceBuddy and basically voice controlling my priest with a warrior.
Anyway... make sure you read the Guild Chat.... guildies started asking about how I was doing it.. and the GL asked me to repost my Damage Meters :)
Especially notice the first screenshot that shows a clip of my Taskmanager and just how little usage running 5 instances of WoW cost me.

Some nice shots there Soulo, and welcome to the forums.
If you get a chance post some shots of your rig. We all love seeing how multiboxer's set up their system.

Nice :)
But your memory usage looks extremely low... you must be running Windows XP?

Thanks for all the replies.. I tell you what... multiboxing is SOOO much more fun. Even lvl1 is enjoyable.
I about fell out of my chair when our guild master asked me to repost the dmg meters. Now... i've got a similar post on my guilds forums in which people are asking me for Fraps vids and whatnot. SO I kindly pointed them to some of the more accomplished folk on these forums :)
As for my rig... your almost gonna laugh...
Abit IB9 Motherboard
e4300 Core2 Duo Processor (1.8ghz) OC'd to 2.4Ghz
2gb of Kingston 8500 HyperX ram
BFG 8800 GTS 512 OC
4x250gb Maxtor Hard Drives in a Striped Raid array... via a 3ware 7506 Card. (Very fast)
22" Samsung LCD & 19"Envision CRT.
Oh.. and yes.. Windows XP (didn't know Vista was an option)
My trick (if it's a trick)... is that when WoW is minimized.. it takes almost 0 resources.. but still responds well to key strokes :) So i leave the 4 windows minimized.. have 1 window up... and adjust my camera view distance (ini file) far enough out to see the others following me. I am using 1 EXE / 1 installation as opposed to installing it into different directories... I have yet to run into any problems. I haven't tried or needed to have all 5 windows up at once.. but I reckon i could manage.
Anyway... I haven't been very avid about becoming good at this yet since I seem to be getting consumed in guild stuff with my recent upgrade to CL status... (Too many incompetent warlocks who like big numbers SOO much.. the pull aggro to see how much a boss can hit them for).
I am a programmer by profession and yet have had 0 time to contribute a lick of code to the game... i feel ashamed. But for now.. i'm enjoying it... and waiting for life to allow more time to pursue the 5 box life.
p.s. I'm married... and she just doesn't get WoW... but she likes listening to Vent.

OH.. and I was using AutoKey or whatever because I did that at work and didn't want to buy Keyclone and then have to get it transferred to my home box. I do however plan on using Keyclone next time I have time.. to sit and play with this at home.
Excellent job on the app.. frome what i've read and seen.. it's an excellent solution!! Can't wait to start using it... especially now that this PiP thing is in the picture (no pun intnended). Actually I don't really know what PiP is to keyclone.. but my imagination knows exactly what it COULD/SHOULD be.. and I assume I am correct :)

If you've got control over each of those bad boys with 1 Window i tip my hat to you :)
edit: 'Micro-ing' my twins is a chore when rogues spring up.
Why *5* mages?
Who heals?

I'm not exactly planning on leveling those guys as they be. It was more of a proof of concept for me. I just wanted to see how hard it would be to orchestrate 5 toons at once... take some screenshots... brag to the guildies...etc... (The concept was almost more than my guildies could handle... they still comment about how cool it was to see all the firepower) As for PvP.. I hadn't really given it much consideration. I'm sure a whole world of surprises await me on that front though.. For production, however, I will throw at least 1 priest in there for Holy Nova. And the occasional rez.
But I have had no troubles so far running them all minimized... but again... no pvp as yet.
Right now my main focus is on a Warrior/Priest combo. Actually I started the warrior (lvl50) first about 1 1/2 years ago.. and then the priest (lvl36) about 1 month later. When I started dual boxing them I had no idea that people did this as avidly as you all do... in fact... (for some naieve reason) I thought I was special...ha! I actually had a spare computer that I would run my priest on and I would control her with Voice Buddy 3. Just made CrapTons of macro's that I bound to voice commands... such as. "Heal Me", "Heal You", "Flash Me", "Flash You", "Pain", "Mind Blast", "Scream", etc... was pretty easy to facilitate.. and was virtually lag free. The best part was that my fingers worked seperately from my voice..
So.. I'm definitley a nub in terms of experience here... but give me some time :) I just bought keyclone yesterday so I am planning to start experimenting around soon.

I'd love to know how your memory usage is so low.
When I fire up my 5 clients, they're usually using 4x200Mb and 1x300Mb.
