Hey, I've at level 40 now with my paladin, hpriest, spriest, mage, warlock combo and thought I might share my paladin macros.. which I've just refined a bit further to suit my playstyle.
For my Righteous Defence I created
/cast [target=targettarget,help] Righteous Defense
I suppoed you could further it by creating a macro that checked if target was friendly or hostile - if friendly use righteous defence on them, if hostile use righteous defence on the hostile's target.
My spam macro which i put on two buttons - one button the alts cast projectiles and the second button is for dots.. so for both my tank does
#showtooltip
/castsequence [target=target] reset=1 Consecration, Holy Shield, Hammer of Justice
Should Hammer of Justice be on cooldown I can just stop spamming for a second and carry on! Hasn't proved much of a problem... but if it does just take hammer of justice out.
for my seal I use
#showtooltip
/castsequence [target=target] reset=5 Seal of the Crusader, Judgement, Seal of Righteousness
So just general combat i tap once for seal of the crusader AP and 40%ias, but if I spam the button a it will unleash judgement and increase the holy damage of seal of righteousness - I'd do this for bosses or something I specifically want to keep aggro on - more holy damage = more threat!

I have a pally + 4 shaman team so I modified the left click on pally healbot to be Righteous Defence instead of flash heal.
sometimes in a group situation I'm not targeting what is attacking one of my alts so the healbot left click works without me having to change targets.
I also have a grouphug macro where all of the shaman cast chain heal on themselves, it has saved me more than once
/cast [target=player] chain heal

I utilize a macro that does a chain heal on my focustarget normally, and has the above functionality (chain heal on self) when I have the shift key pressed. It's awesome and I use it a LOT in both PvE and PvP.

#showtooltip
/castsequence [target=target] reset=1 Consecration, Holy Shield, Hammer of Justice
You can remove the "[target=target]", just wasting space. I personally have Holy Shield bound to my DPS buttons so it is pretty much spammed all the time. I keep Hammer of Justice for emergencies, heal interupts, runner stopper, etc. Spamming Consecration will make you go OOM very quickly as well unless you downrank it a lot. Do you drink after every fight? I usually only spam consecrate on bosses or when fighting 3+ mobs, otherwise I will just consecrate once or not at all depending on how much aggro my healer generates.

Does that macro "stick" on Judgement till the cooldown is up? Otherwise spamming it would make you go OOM very fast as there is no cooldown on your seals.
I use:
/cast Judgement
/cast Seal of Righteousness
Before a fight I will activate Seal of the Crusader, go into combat and hit the macro which will put Judgement of the Crusader on the mob and cast Seal of Righteousness immediately as Judgement does not trigger the global cooldown. My melee hits will keep refreshing Judgement of the Crusader so it should stay up all the time. Whenever my Judgement cooldown is up I just hit the macro again which will cast Judgement of Righteousness and recast Seal of Righteousness. On trash I won't even bother with Crusader and just use the above macro.

I generally only drink once mage and shadow priest are empty.. for my warlock I use life tap to keep her in line with the rest.
If I spam the consecration macro, I can be sat on the hammer of justice cooldown for a while should I not need more AOE aggro - which works fine for me at the moment. But I Can see what you're saying, and should it begin causing a problem I will revise my strategy - I haven't encountered a major problem with healers, because I NUKE :)
Oh and since I'm doing instances 95% of the time, consecration spam works well because i'm always up against 3+ enemy.. well most of the time. If I do think it'd be a waste to consecrate, I will use a healer renew spell - which triggers DPS on the alts at the same time, without triggering any paladin spells.
Thanks for your Seal tip, when I tap the macro.. I generally stop after the seal of righteousness and I've not missed it yet. I'll see what works best for me.

For pally taunt this is pretty much the ultimate:
/castsequence [target=targettarget,help,raid] reset=15 Righteous Defense,Blessing of Protection
One little secret that while in a regular group (not raid) the [raid] returns true for your group members but NOT for you. This way you will never try to cast BoP on yourself. If the mob targets you the macro will do nothing.
The castsequence effectively gives you a "backup" taunt. If your first one gets resisted or you need to re-taunt before the cooldown is up it will use BoP.
Another clever trick that is helpful with mobs that charm. Example:
/cast [target=party1,harm,nodead] [target=party2,harm,nodead] [target=party3,harm,nodead] [target=party4,harm,nodead] Hammer of Justice
You can substitute Hammer of Justice for any other appropriate spell (Counterspell, Polymorph etc). This macro will do nothing normally but when one of your party members is charmed he is no longer [help] but [harm]. I have tested this in hero SP and it works. Nice little automatic anti charm macro
This macro sounds simple but it absolutely owns any boss that spawns any kind of add/totem that needs to be killed pronto:
/assist party1
/targetenemy
/cast Scorch
It trivializes the first boss of SP, end boss of MT, second boss of Bot etc. Just spam this and if there is an add it will nuke add. If all adds are dead it will nuke the boss. Your tank always stays on the boss and ignores adds.
