Ran across an issue and figured I would ask here to maybe save me some time. Finally managed to get an x-keys, wow, nice piece of hardware. Started to keybind using combinations of Ctl, Alt, Shift and a function key. I also use combinations of more then one of the modifiers at a time (ex: Ctl-Alt-F1, Ctl-Shift-F11, etc).

The problem I have run into is that if I have 2 keybindings such as Ctl-F9 and Ctl-Shift-F9 and use one bound to one toon, and the other bound to the other toon using the Ctl-Shift-F9 will trigger the Ctl-F9 macro. Is there any way to get WoW to only accept exact key combinations, or do I need to rethink my bindings somewhat? If I have to rethink them, what does everyone use for bindings that wont get them to trigger this?

If my assumption is right if I bind Ctl-Alt-Shift-c it will trigger either Ctl-c, Alt-c, Shift-c or any combination of those or even just 'c' for my char screen? Am I completely wrong in assuming this?

Posted this in the software forum since while it does deal with hardware, it seems to be a software problem ?(

Its actually a problem with WoW, not any of the software we use.

If you bind CTRL-SHIFT-F9 to an empty button on the 2nd clone then WOW will attempt to do nothing on receipt of that key combo and won't confuse the combination.

I have been having this prob with my G15 and now I have an x-keys it is really compounded.

I started using Trinity bars to get around the problem (binding combos to empty bars)

Binding it to an empty button does indeed fix it. Should be in a sticky by now, if not, WTB!
