How is everyone doing , PVP wise

I left wow for a few months. Think it was back when they announced that Word of Glory for non holy will have a CD. and my 5s rating had been stuck at 1810 for a few weeks.

How is everyone doing. 4DKs + 1 healer are still rocking 5s ? Somewhere I read Frost is OP now.

Thinking to come back for 4.1 in prepare for 4.2 as well. Anything new in the PVP scene? I am hesitate to open 5 accounts again. Probably just going to do 3 this time around.

Have not logged into Warcraft in eight or nine days.

The 4x DK's + Paladin absolutely rock in battlegrounds.
I was working on macros for trying them five box in arena, and will do that probably next week.

I've been running them in as solo toons, in 2's for the last seven weeks (no pts this week).
In 2's, the first three weeks I offered gold per victory, to get the weapons.
In the last four weeks of arena, each individually absolutely destroys.
And Frost has had a fairly significant buff in the 4.1 patch.
- Frost Strike is 130% damage, up from 110%.
- Blood Runes are permanently Death Runes, so no need for Blood Strike in the rotations.
- Howling Blast hits the initial target 20% harder, with the AoE splash being the same as pre 4.1

In battlegrounds the team rocks much more so than any other composition I've ever boxed.

About 4-5 players around 1850-1900
And a few others around 1750 ish

I just came back and started pvping again, being undergeared vs full vicious people in 5's sucks ass so i'm waiting for next season to really push for anything and just working on keybinds and basic strats.

very impressive as I did not think 5s were possible to get 2200+. I had some issues with my accounts as 2 of the 5 are banned while I was away. Now I am fighting to get them back. If I can't, i probably gonna explore 2s and 3s as new account cost 100 bucks each -_-.

There are a few 2700+ 3's teams that are HPal and two Frost DK's. I think it's something we all should look into :)

I'm making the push for 2k this week after reset. We'll see what happens.

am happy as posted somewhere i got my 1550 for the first time solo arana the deathknights are very stong though as i join so late olny haveing 2 epics and not healing much as i allways get confused and move to much hehe. i play at night sometimes when its later for my wins and then i normaley play the guilds thats trying to play each over (pve geared) they go down fast......

The past week was my first serious push to get a decent rating.

In 5s, my team is 1752 (4x Frost + other playing 1 Holy Paladin )
In 3s, I almost had 1700 as triple frost.

I've broke 1800 playing 4DKs + Priest Solo. I tanked my rating this week trying new setups and different arena days, so I remade my team and im back around 1700. I remade the team and tried with a 2nd person healing as a shaman. It went ok, but I dunno I feel like my priest is better. I'm hoping to find a 2k+ priest to heal me.

Sunday I felt like trying out some more 3s (i did it in the passed just for points). I'm up to 1700 running tripple DK. I had my g/f play her priest with 2 of my Dk's and we went 3-1, so I do see a lot of potential for healer + 2 DKs I might persue that as well.

Not sure about your numbers mate. The highest 4dk team on US is nerf howling blast with 1746 on bloodlust. The only team higher on EU is sephice's team on 2356. My chinese/korean aint so good so i didn't check those realms.

Methinks we need sephice to pop in or make us a vid ;)

On a separate note, what is the story with tanking rating? I have maxed at 1803 but now just oscillate between this and 1700. I have almost 800 games played for the season with approx 45% win ratio. Would I find it easier to gain rating if I tanked this team down and reformed a new team or would it simply make my stats look better? Cheers

Frost-DKs is very powerful atm. I play 1 gnome Priest and 4 human DK (priest is my lead). Mostly i play EOTS and AV.
Contrary to my 5 Ele Team its hard to keep the overview where my DKs swirling around.

Especially in arena i cant move like a single healer. I cant run away from Opponents or doing pillar rubbing without losing overview of my Deathknights. In addition i got a lot of problems of targeting when my lead is under cc, which happens a lot. Mostly i end up with only 5k heal from priest before he dies. My rating is ~ 1500

Iam at 3,8 resi @ my priest and i think during the next seasons damage mitgation wont improve. I think about to play as a paladin or holy priest, so i have 8 seconds without CC.

However, this team makes still fun.

Remaking teams makes no difference. You have a personal MMR that queue's you vs people with a similar MMR. The only reason to get your MMR down is to lose a lot. But since MMR changes like twice as fast as rating, you'll be back at your MMR very fast aswell. So there's not really a way to get a higher rating, besides just winning. No matter what team.

The only fun thing about dropping MMR is that you can facestomp noobs for a bit untill you get your normal MMR back.

At 1650ish atm with 4x frost dk + a shaman healer friend. Havnt played that much this week exept caping pts, but we hope to be able to break at least 1750 within a week or so, still a lot tweaking to do, i read something about a strang macro beeing implemented inside the howlingblast attack so we get strang of in the begining with all toons, maby something to think off :)

Good to see that ppl are still doing well in pvp. I always felt arena is a little anti climatic as it was over way to quickly before i know it. So I spend months building up this team. In a matter of few hours, I've discovered all my efforts and hard work have gone to waste with 5 consecutive losses to some 1600 double/triple healer team BS.

So this change of inflating the ratings gain is actually welcomed by me. I wanted to play more games per week. Play arena for fun, not for a harsh rating that can be really volatile.

1700 rating and no external Healer impresses me a lot. 1550 is my goal.

i noticed when my priest isnt the lead, he wont get focused first. But then its hard to place a barrier or massdispell.

I broke 1800 solo in 5s. I play the priest as holy not disc. I peaked at 1840 5v5 last week. Then I started theory crafting and fucked myself. Anyone else notice they buffed conquest caps this week? I'm at almost 2k conquest pts a week now.
