When I was triple boxing about a year ago I used to multi-fish on them. Not very difficult when the timer was 30 seconds. I haven't tried it since the timer was changed to 20 seconds, but I'm guessing it gets real busy.
My setup is now different than a year ago ... one big computer running 5 instead of multiple computers, and using Keyclone now. I think this setup will be easier to deal with than my old one for fishing.
I might try 5-box fishing tonight.
Sounds like Whack-a-mole to me.
Anybody multifish?

Before I started 5 boxing, I was a big fisher. I did a lot of fishing for our raid groups. I always thought that it would be awesome if there was a way to 5 box fish. Really, you need a very bright visual trigger that occurs when the bobber sound goes off (like the whole window flashing) for it to be feasible. The problem is, I don't think you can program anything based on that particular event... this was done to prevent fish bots.

I have done it with 5. all have their own mouse. you must cast all bobbers in the same area. I have sound on each pc turned on so , hear sound click. after about an hour of this you want to die :)
I fished with my two mages for the first time at the weekend, definately more fun that fishing solo, but I don't think I could cope with more than 3 fishing at a time.

I don't remember the exact path, but you can replace the fish bobber sound with a custom sound file. I dropped in a loud alarm noise.

I believe this idea requires multiple install folders but looks good on paper.
Change the .wav file for your Main account to play something like "one."
Change the .wav file for your 1st Alt account to play "two."
Change the .wav file for your 2nd Alt account to play "three."
Change the .wav file for your 3rd Alt account to play "four."
Change the .wav file for your 4th Alt account to play "five."
Ez-Mode whack a mole.

That would probably work... except I think most people have the sound turned off for the 4 followers...

Aaaah! The flaw in the system :). Touche to you sir, simply wouldn't be worth it to have 5 pinging .wav files playing either. I'm sure that would get quite annoying after a short period of time.

Even if you turned the sound on on all your machines (which I have done on one of my setups) you only hear the sound coming from the instance of wow that you are focused on.
Therefore, if you were focused on instance one (who has had their fish-on sound replaced with a .wav that says "ONE") and instance number three (who has had their fish-on sound replaced with a .wav that says "THREE") you would hear the .wav say "ONE".
There is only a single .wav file and call for that .wav file for the fishing sound... when someone, anyone, has a fish on, the call is made for that .wav file.
So if you have replaced your .wav sound with a .wav file that says "WOOPIE I CAUGHT A FISH!"... it would go off anytime you were near ANYONE who caught a fish.
Don't tell me you guys haven't noticed this. It was my biggest pet peeve when fishing next to someone who was also fishing.... the fish bobber sound would go off and I would right click my bobber but it turned out that it was the guy next to me who had caught a fish... not me.
Something might be able to be done with a mod though.... not sure.
I actually like 5 box fishing. Whack-a-mole is fun! I can't stand being bored, sot he complexity of which bobber dropped and line following makes it fun. :)
Before I would feed myself to the fish before I spent any amount of time getting them to feed me. >)
