View Full Version : [WoW] Ever make a Bonehead Move??
Well, this is fantastic.
short vers... (5 accounts, account 1 is main account, has all my solo play 85s. Account 2, 3, 4 and 5, have all been deactivated for a while. After returning back to boxing, my favorite team, (now level 47), does not have the RAF bonus.
At level 47, is it worth it to continue playing these? Is there even a quick way to get them up to at least 60 quickly?
Ugh, im just so beside myself for not at least checking on the RAF option to reactivate old "inactive" accounts.
Suggestions?
anyone else do any other bonehead moves, perhaps I can learn from, and not repeat?

I leveled a set of Pallies... to 57th so far.
This is with two +10% heirlooms on each toon.
Did not have any guild bonus at that point.
That was a total of five afternoons of play.
In the neighborhood of 4-5 hours a session.
The low levels really don't take that much time.

We've all made bone head moves...
I didn't level Hunters when I had RAF. :(

I was going so comment that considering how fast you level past a zone even without RAF since Cataclysm, is this that big of a deal? But then I remembered how the 1-25 experience leveling my goblins basically killed WoW for me, and I answered my own question. Good luck with it.
I suppose you could buy a few $19 classic/battle chests and xfer those toons TO those accounts once active with RAF, and level a few others if you were so inclined. Doesn't seem much worth it though if just for those, as you'll only get 13 levels out of it.
I have definitely considered buying more accounts. Im already up to a "WoW12", from swapping toons around. I agree though, I do out level a particular area quicker than say a few years ago, at a standard rate.
Ualaa buddy, you got that right there. I am not as advanced as some of you guys in this area. I am still working on acquiring more heirloom gear for the second toon.

Would you guys suggest going for the full 50x Level 60s during RAF then? Better to get each class done during RAF, then worry about dinging to 85 later?
Or at least doing 1 85 team, while rest get to 60 during the 90? day RAF.
Thanks
For me Sturmy, I would like to get the first full team up to 85 quickly, so that you can use your justice points to purchase heirloom gear, per each account, per each 85. Then provide those to any alts. If there is still more RAF time, then yes, switch to alts to utilize the time as much as possible and reap that benefit.

Ah ok, thanks. Hopefully games arrive tonight, need to start grinding :D

Sturmy, yes, definately try making 5 of each, starting with the healing and tanking classes.

My biggest mistake was leveling everything except death knights, hunters and warriors, because really, they'll never be any good to multibox anyway.... ...so i thought last year...
I leveled a set of (4) priests to 60. Then I did (4) huntards. Then I decided it was time to step up the game, add complexity, and do a tank, healer, and (3) same as, dps group. Unfortunately I got that team to ~ 45 before I stopped playing wow. Now, im up running again, and my RAF isnt active. Doing dungeons suck IMO.
I dont have a lot of heirlooms, so im basically multiboxing plain ole toons.

During the RAF period, I recommend getting as many compositions to 60th as possible.
The classes I did were: Cleric, Druid, Hunter, Shaman.
After that, I still had five or six weeks on RAF, but opted to level Shammies to 70th as Burning Crusade was almost over and I wanted to have the Shammies 70th prior to the release of WotLK.
Since RAF, I've leveled:
- Paladins x5 to 57th.
- Warlocks x4 + Priest to 22nd.
- Death Knights x5 to 80th, and x4 of those to 85th.
I wish I had done the Paladins, Warlocks and a set of Mages.
If you get your toons to at least 75th level.
They are high enough to advance their tradeskill cap to the current 525 ceiling.
At 485 alchemy, you can learn Transmute Elements, which will take you to 520.
In the process of transmuting 15 Volatile Life into 14-16 Volatile Air (do the transmute in Uldum), you'll make a lot of gold.
Having a lot of toons from RAF, even if you don't play them often, isn't a bad thing.
Plus lots of toons, lets you try combinations you didn't think would be fun or interesting earlier, but that you like or want to experiment with later.
Death Knights, Druids, Paladins and Warriors can be Tanks.
Druids, Paladins, Priests and Shamans can be Healers.
These are all prime choices to have.

Well the DKs would only benefit from RAF for 5 levels anyway, so why worry about that?

My biggest mistake was leveling 30-40 characters on a carebear server then switching to a real server after the RAF was up.

Huh? Is there some secret class Ualaa knows about but is keeping from the rest of us? :P
