Hey,

Still waiting on trial key to come through so apologies if it's something easily answered in ISB, but with window switching do multiple monitors "need" to be in the same resolution for this to work well?

Was reading somewhere that ISB keeps clients same resolution for faster swapping, but not sure how this works monitor wise. Just using two different monitors so was wondering if this would affect it.

Many thanks,
Sturmy

Your monitors do not need to be in the same resolution, but you might be happier with the visuals if they ARE in the same resolution.

For dual monitors I highly recommend using the new method I've been demonstrating this year with Video Feeds.

playing 5 WoWs on dual monitors: http://isboxer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=1222

With this method, all of your windows are the same size because they're all on the same screen and stacked in the same position. Full visibility is provided by fully interactive video feeds (yep, I can click on anything you see, or i can move the mouse over it and type, etc) and you minimize your wasted space on the second monitor by making the important things bigger!

So in a sense all 5 are maximised on screen 1, and screen 2 is just the feeds? (aka no clients ever change monitor) Or did I misunderstand that page.

Thanks

Yes, that is correct. Screen 2 with this method is a blank canvas to place video feeds, click bars, etc. All of the windows are "windowed full screen" (appearance of full screen, but behavior of a window) on the main screen. That means swapping is instant and whatnot, but also that the video feeds are of the desired quality (because if you have smaller windows, the video feeds will be lower resolution)

How did I miss this! Those video feeds rock Lax!
