View Full Version : [ISBoxer] Odd ISBoxer Issue - Not Passing Certain Keys to One Window

Lax or others,

I went out of town for a week for work and came back today and experienced an issue with ISBoxer. I made no changes to my ISBoxer config but one window is acting differently. Once I load up the Mag Vynd Team (the only one I have set up), the ten windows load and I get into the game just fine. However, the window assocaited with the Vampirah slot does not receive two commands - Ctrl-1 and Ctrl-2. This is odd, becasue the other nine windows receive the commands just fine and all ten windows receive all other Ctrl-# keys (like Ctrl-7, Ctrl-3, etc). All the Ctrl-# keys are in the Repeat Keys Ctrl-1 - Ctrl-= key map.

The Ctrl-1 and Ctrl-2 keys call Flight or Mount commands in the Control key map. Other odd things about the Vampirah slot are that I don't get the comforting message "You loaded the wrong toon into this window, you putz!" message (paraphrased) that I'm so used to getting on all my windows when I've loaded a new character for the past few months. I tried loading a different account into that slot and that doesn't help. I even tried deleting the Vampirah character and creating a new one for slot 2 of my Character Set from scratch with a new name, but that didn't help either.

Here is my config file:

It is probably just a small thing I'm missing, but I'd appreciate any help.

Have you checked that the ISBoxer addon is enabled for that account? It is the source of both the "annoying message" and the macros. With all the recent patch-related addon issues it may have been disabled.

Other then that, there is nothing glaringly obvious in your config.

Could also try to Export to Inner Space, from the Toolkit.
So you know the IS Boxer addon has the latest version number.
Sometimes need to do that after a patch.

There is no reason it wouldn't get the *keystroke* you're sending to all, but that doesn't mean the WoW Macro is active (e.g. because ISBoxer Addon is not enabled, or did not fully export, etc) and operational (e.g. because something is overriding the binding ISBoxer assigned).

Try exporting manually on the second PC to be sure it doesn't complain about anything. Remember that if it doesn't say "Export successful" it's NOT fully exporting and you will need to resolve some error before it will.

And make sure the ISBoxer Addon is enabled in that window where nothing is working. ISBoxer Addon will ALWAYS say stuff in your chat window when it loads, and should also indicate what Character Set and/or Character is loaded.

Sweet, that was it! Somehow the patching that was done disabled the ISBoxer addon for only one of my ten windows.

I knew it was probably just something small that I was missing, but it would have taken me a long time to figure out without you guys' help.

Thanks!

Yes, I JUST ran into this very issue. One toon was different. What makes this less obvious, (to me anyway), is that Jamba is in the Addon list immediately after ISBoxer. .. and when I go to look, frantic, I easily see both in game, and in the addon list, the quest watcher, accepting quests, doing the invite all keystroke.. etc, which isnt making the lame mistake so abundantly "in my face"... Sometimes I need something to be so stupid easy, to say "hey dummy, im not turned on!!"

so embarassing.
