Hi there, I have been thinking about going down this path for a while, and I am almost ready to commit. I have the systems, accounts and all that, but want to go the software route rather than the multicasters and all that. My questions are these about keyclone:

1. Is there a trial anywhere? or do you just have to go on faith that it will work well for you. I know that it WORKS WELL, but there are certain pieces of software that may not be accomodating of everyone's playstyle or level of expertise.

2. Do you have to buy a separate license of keyclone for every physical system? or is it a single licence per person? for instance, I will be 5 boxing on 3 machines. Do I need a license for each machine?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. The FAQ on the website is really geared towards function, and not licensing.

Thanks,

TheGreek

hi Greek and welcome to the forums!

yes, there are no trials.
yes, the license is per machine
yes, you get all updates for free (you can even transfer your license to another machine if you need to)
and you do get some support (i try to be prompt)

if you have any other questions, please feel free to drop me a PM

can you tell me what the definition of a machine is? For instance, if I upgrade to a larger/faster disk will that require that I purchase an additional license? I am really trying to understand what my spend will be on this endeavor.

Thanks,

if you upgrade your hardware, that will generate a different system-id... which will not have a valid license attached. at that point, you would drop me a note and i would transfer your license from your old system-id to your new system-id.

think of it as a book license

as for your 'spend'... keyclone at a single $20 payment, per machine, is the smallest part of all your expenses. if you have 3 machines and 5 accounts, the accounts will run you $75/month or $900/yr plus the $800 per machine and $250 per monitor... or a $3100+ one time payment.

so.. $60 for keyclone on 3 machines is fairly insignificant
